Those crashing and burning the EPA,etc. xD
those aren't neoliberals
and you said 'foreign policy'
Yeah they are. It is essentially the war lobby elite.
both have their views on war, but there are no neolibs in trump admin
There is a correlation between the fossil fuel die hards and the war lobby.
neolib foreign policy is lead by Richard Haass
EPA is lead by wheeler, definitely not a neoliberal
he's a former coal lobbyist
In what way? At the core of neo-liberal policy is to destroy the govt from within and make it dysfunctional for corporate elites.
That was literally the 1970s through to the 2000s. Still continues as well. Just shock therapy is less pushed these days.
the neolibs and neocons are very 'right' of Lefists and Progressives, but they aren't the same thing
And mass privatization is also their baby.
As are private armies like Blackwater or "Academia" as they call themselves now.
They formed a tight alliance of convenience over the Iraq and Afghanistan war, and are more than happy to plunge us into Iran.
Granted that there are still neo liberal dissidents, and they aren't as well polished as traditional neo libs.
But if you look at a lot of what they have done domestically, it falls into some general neo liberal policy aims.
the neolibs are against the china trade war and tariffs, the situation with canada, SALT deduction removal
But they are also supportive of unilateral wars that help them profit in other countries.
there really isnt that much trump has done domestically, or at all outside of huge major goofs
nah the main neolib foreign policy is the mistaken belief america can replicate itself in other countries and perserving the global liberal trade order
trump is 100% against that
They hate Trump still, but that doesn't mean they won't take a major feast like a war in Iran.
the main neolib is against it, Richard Haass
they aren't that stupid
bombing iran is what the neocons want
Who isn't even part of the neo liberal faction that don't honestly care, as long as they make a quick buck.
```Richard Haass worked for Secretary of State Colin Powell in the Bush administration and was Director of Policy Planning for the US State Department from 2001-2003 during the lead-up to the Iraq war. Haass has said he was 60 percent against the Iraq war.[6]```
Which doesn't make him the sort of pro-war neo liberal faction that Trump is fauning to.
Honestly kill Americans then it's fair game in my books. Same way if you kill a family member. I don't understand why Dems let Iran push us around for years and let the situation get to this point. This could've been handled forever ago but Obama had 0 stones when going about foreign policy.
For the same reason Trump didn't go to war with NK in his first 90 days, it will be a mess that might hurt his political career. No one likes to be President who loses a war or makes a costly one. However, Trump's overconfidence might push him into making that mistake with Iran.
I mean Iran is clearly wanting to provoke America to attack to claim the U.S is trying to be imperialistic
starve their people of food and medicine ends up with shit like this
Hard to do so
no, that's what we've been doing. US sanctions are doing that, killing people.
They share a waterway with Russia.
Pompeo has been trying to get a war with Iran going as long as he's been there
he wanted war when the drone was shot down and the oil field attacks. all he could talk about until Ukraine stuff
obviously Bolton's tenure meant another Iran hawk, etc
Not to mention Iran has consolidated it's power. They have their people's support
