Spain, Portugal, even France were just as culpable

2018-10-30 03:14:14 UTC

Holland moved slaves around just like they moved everything around

2018-10-30 03:14:54 UTC

And, while I don't have the numbers in front of me, I'm pretty sure the Atlantic Slave Trade was small peanuts compared to the African and Asian Slave Trade.

2018-10-30 03:19:07 UTC

So yeah, I'll give GBR some credit there

2018-10-30 03:29:43 UTC

oooo, what are we ~~arguing about~~ debating today?

2018-10-30 03:30:05 UTC

Here's an old article, but it ties in very nicely with Tim's video today.

This woman is amazing.

It seems like every great person has been fired at least once in their career.

For the sake of freedom of speech, please watch and share https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps8iwcxaXV0 before it gets made illegal in Europe . Sharia in Europe: Human Rights Court Adopts Islamic Blasphemy Laws.

2018-10-30 12:10:17 UTC

that should go in <#399204742846349312> tbh

2018-10-30 12:12:15 UTC

here's a more reasonable article on it

Thanks. Lol i was having a bit of the old trouble watching that.

2018-10-30 12:13:39 UTC

the Human Rights Court hasn't adopted any new blasphemy laws, it simply denied a woman's request that her fine be cancelled because ye olde freeze peach

2018-10-30 12:14:05 UTC

the problem is with Austrian law, which is very touchy when it comes to "disparaging religion"

2018-10-30 12:14:11 UTC

<:salut:398401094092324864>

That is interesting though. I cant really say because I dont know how Euro law is

I mean literally, I agree with what she said. It is pedophilia. However it also seems like she was just trying to paint muhammad and islam as an extension in a bad light.

2018-10-30 12:20:55 UTC

ya
especially since she made no mention of him consummating the marriage when she started puberty a few years later, nor that it was the norm back then

2018-10-30 12:21:07 UTC

nowadays, it would absolutely be called pedophilia

2018-10-30 12:21:35 UTC

not even a teenager, several decade age difference, etc

I guess that is illegal in Austria.

2018-10-30 12:33:12 UTC

yup

2018-10-30 12:33:50 UTC

maybe blasphemy laws should be abolished tbf, but this has nothing to do with sharia or the human rights court

2018-10-30 12:33:55 UTC

just austria being austria

2018-10-30 12:34:19 UTC

Anschluss gonna anschluss

The whole point is, that Muslims themselves are against paedophilia, but their definition is different to that of ours. The 12 and 13-year-olds they gangrape over the course of a weekend arent seen as children to them but as young women. They dont see it as paedophilia, because Mohammad did it.

2018-10-30 13:11:55 UTC

And they dont see rape as rape then?

2018-10-30 13:13:55 UTC

Well, thats where the whole grooming thing comes into play, the girls are under the legal age on consent therefore they have to be charged with rape even if the child gave their consent

2018-10-30 13:14:48 UTC

They are allowed to take slaves for sex, which is what they see it as

2018-10-30 13:22:37 UTC

Rape in the us is girls regretting that they consented to having sex with a boy and the retroactively changing what happened to rape

2018-10-30 13:23:35 UTC

The definition regarding minors is still the same, regardless.

2018-10-30 15:04:26 UTC

Could anyone tell me what birthright citizenship is?

2018-10-30 15:05:37 UTC

I believe it's a system where being born in the nation makes one a citizen of said nation.

2018-10-30 15:06:18 UTC

@Rjfenix if you are born on US soil, you are a US citizen.

2018-10-30 15:07:07 UTC

Someone tell me how is this different from the dreamers program.

2018-10-30 15:07:16 UTC

Dosent that give citizenship to babies born in the US?

2018-10-30 15:07:33 UTC

So by saying that nothing can say that anyone of us are citizens

2018-10-30 15:07:56 UTC

no, the Dreamers program was kids brought here by their parents while they were very young.

2018-10-30 15:08:47 UTC

@Rjfenix incorrect, if you are born to a US citizen, you are a US citizen.

2018-10-30 15:09:11 UTC

however, if you are not a US citizen, but give birth on US soil, your child is a US citizen
