I cant prove it and wont claim it was deliberate

2018-04-05 20:43:40 UTC

yeah

2018-04-05 20:43:54 UTC

is it not just propaganda?

2018-04-05 20:44:21 UTC

propaganda generally needs to be intentional

2018-04-05 20:44:29 UTC

otherwise it's (mis|dis)info

2018-04-05 20:44:50 UTC

well, disinfo would be intentional too

2018-04-05 20:45:07 UTC

ok, meetings

Shill the discord!

I noticed the original image seemed a little dark over all, is it possible someone in the editing room just used a program to lighten the whole thing and it had ended up changing the eye color?

2018-04-05 20:46:23 UTC

my mom told me wen I was young never trust the news collect information and make up your own mind.

So, it seems Deerfield, Illinois has now officially banned "assault weapons."

2018-04-05 23:41:05 UTC

I'm linking the duckduckgo search instead of listing all of the sources, but all of the big names are reporting on it: cnn, washington times, chicago tribune, cbs news, etc.

2018-04-05 23:41:32 UTC

It looks like any weapon carrying more than 10 rounds.

2018-04-05 23:41:38 UTC

Including pistols.

2018-04-05 23:42:18 UTC

"Trustees voted unanimously."

2018-04-05 23:43:11 UTC

And people who own a gun classified as an 'assault weapon' are going to be forced to turn it in or risk a pretty hefty fine.

2018-04-06 00:06:58 UTC

They're going to be dragged in front of the court, because it's simply unconstitutional.

2018-04-06 00:22:28 UTC

If I owned a gun there I'd look into moving and if they tried to fine me before I moved, look at taking them to court for not giving sufficient time to leave the town with my lawfully owned weapon.

2018-04-06 00:27:10 UTC

hopefully it gives the other states more legal fodder

2018-04-06 00:31:40 UTC

A real gun friendly state should look at classifing any legal gun holder in their state as part of the "state militia" so they can say any federal law trying to restrict their ownership as actually unconstitutional.

2018-04-06 00:38:35 UTC

Nice.

2018-04-06 00:38:57 UTC

I like that idea.

2018-04-06 00:41:19 UTC

Meanwhile, didn't Texas just allow for open-carrying *swords?*

2018-04-06 00:41:55 UTC

I mean, why not? Lmao

2018-04-06 01:36:07 UTC

Funny how most "gun nuts" respond to haters by either inviting them over to a shooting range, or simply ignoring them.

2018-04-06 01:36:31 UTC

Well, not sure if thats all of them. But seems to be the experience on the gun reddits.

2018-04-06 01:38:16 UTC

Kinda why I dont trust weapon registers, I support registering to own them like they have CCW permits, but I dont like the sound of the company selling the gun keeping records on who bought what. Or at least keeping them but forced to turn them over to the govt or face punishment.

2018-04-06 01:38:51 UTC

why would a company not keep records of their customers?

2018-04-06 01:39:16 UTC

They could and should. Its the idea of the govt forcing them to give them over.

2018-04-06 01:40:59 UTC

i mean, lets face it, the government could probably find out who owns guns and what kinds if they really wanted to even without company records

2018-04-06 01:41:17 UTC

Okay, assume thats true then. Good luck actually taking them.

2018-04-06 01:45:55 UTC

they can take them. the question really is at what cost do they consider it worth while

2018-04-06 01:56:05 UTC

actually, the ATF is expressly forbidden of creating an owner registry

2018-04-06 01:56:31 UTC

that doesn't stop the states from doing it and then making it available though

2018-04-06 01:56:44 UTC

however tech has come pretty far

2018-04-06 01:57:17 UTC

and I suspect at least half of the AR-15 owners also own an 80% lower (Completed or not)

2018-04-06 02:47:53 UTC

@Chijohnaok Yeah, the inconsistency bugs me. I wasn't aware of the jihadist stuff, but there's a lot of gory content available. Up-close-and-personal surgeries. How-to-field-dress-a-deer videos. And did they ever remove those disturbing finger family songs? I saw a handful of her videos, and only one included some animal cruelty footage. A couple of them had to do with exercise. Wacky, yes, but I can't imagine what was so in violation of YT's Terms of Service, given the stuff that's still on the site.

2018-04-06 05:44:05 UTC

Jaden, Can confirm. I can walk around with a sword strapped to my back if I like. God bless Texas.
