Same flat infinite planes as everything else, just warped so they look like a disk
No-one warped them. They just appear warped into discs cause of how light travels
Maybe I am, maybe not
Even Samantha knows about fish eye lens
Can I try too
Then I'll say in same way radio compasses worked before 'satellites' were ever in media, ground towers and radios on buoys and such
For how good GPS is supposed to be, my local airport still uses old radio navigation like any other in the world
I hope everyone has had a campfire at least once
And observed how things can look like behind the hot air of fire
We're denser than air, lol
If you put a human into a device that is less dense than air, they'll float
E.g. a hot air balloon
@Seeker of Truth I've been studying middle age manuscripts, they have fun imagery haha
Water is denser than air, air is denser than ether/whatever space is
The deeper you go, the denser things will get
The best drilling could only get what, 12 km down?
Things get very dense and very hot deeper down and very sparse & cold higher up
Ask him if moon is a reflection of the sun :P
Words have more than 1 meaning
My room is filled with empty space, but it's still just air
Cool
What a cute dog
@The Best simarlian no, but I'm sure you have a lot to tell us
You already said that
xD
That same science that's killing millions daily, sounds trustworthy
Science is based on math and math is a tool, just like any other tool it can be abused
There is a mathematical solution for 'gravity' and it's presented as the only one
But there are all sorts of other solutions that all describe different worlds that are all not real
It's postulated that satellites exist because of radial `1/r^2` gravity
But satellites exist even if it was `1/r` or even uniform
@Human Sheeple I can draw you many fake planets with `r` being anything you want :D
The fact that r exists in some model on paper doesn't mean it exists for real
Yep
@The Best simarlian we have seen exact same kinda science you did, went out and tried to check it and the mainstream 'science' failed us
I have not seen Earth from outer space and I don't think you can "see" it in any sensible way personally, but that's something for another discussion
Err, because that's the one assumption that can be verified with a variety of experiments
Why do you think footage is always mediocre in quality
Did you see any movies recently?
Have you noticed that scientific footage always significantly lags behind movies in quality?
Poor footage quality makes it easier to trick the eye
All HQ sciency stuff always looks like CGI and HAS BEEN replicated in movies before
Today we render planets in 'scientific' materials (at least what is supposed to be science) like we rendered them in 1950's scifi
You can get like what, 20-30 seconds of zero-G in the aircraft
The trick to modern 'science' is a mixture of truth, lies and a lot of math and fitting reality to equations to mask out the 'plot holes'
@The Best simarlian how do I become an astronaut without signing any NDA's or anything that would limit me from talking about the experience
@Meeper people have been predicting solar eclipses in ancient times before any of the globe model stuff existed. The fact that you found 1 model to fit your patterns doesn't mean those patterns happen because of that model
Any mathematical model that gives you same sorta patterns that fit past solar eclipses would predict you future eclipses
Precisely @Human Sheeple
A lot of people grasp at the first model they see that SEEMINGLY fits everything
Of course it works perfectly if you ignore the little flaws and adjust data to fit the model in other parts
How do I double check this predicted ground track?
@Meeper I've observed the eclipse myself in Salem like many before me did, even before we had any of our modern science :D
@Meeper the ground tracks have a pattern to them lol
Plus the ground tracks listed by NASA aren't necessarily reflective of what happens in reality
If NASA tells you the eclipse happens in this specific area, how do you verify it's not happening outside of that claimed area
@Meeper for starters, they are all plotted with globe earth being assumed as a given :P
So that's one big nail in the coffin for the data already
Haha. The nature is just not as strict and well behaved as you'd like it to be
@Meeper you tried to actually make any predictions with 'science' and verify them afterwards? Did you notice that the more you go away from trivial stuff, the more prediction diverges from reality?
Sure, maybe your method works, but there have been methods that worked just fine in the past and you can build all sorts of intricate models that all give you same-ish result in the end
Basically, why build some very complicated tool/model if it doesn't give any major benefits with the different models of the past
Can I put that 'accurate ground track' onto a sandwich and eat it for sustenance? :'D
All things aside, you're demonstrating a basic misunderstanding. We've heard all the things you're trying to present to us as facts, giving us more of the same thing isn't going to make this conversation any more constructive
@Meeper sure, it does, if you have your little victory, will it make you calm down? xD
We have daily lives we wanna live, we're not as interested in winning little senseless arguments about some garbage
Now you're being provocative
@Human Sheeple psst you'll find that it has much more to do with old methods than any globe earths :D
@Meeper I don't feel very motivated to talk to you, if you are here for a fundamentally wrong reason
I don't want to be your means of achieving a little victory just so you can feel better about yourself :'D
@Meeper reality is pretty swell actually, try going outside and enjoying life more
One of your fundamental mistakes is assuming we're as worked up about your passions as you are yourself
@Meeper you're not here to figure out anything or talk to us about anything, you're just here to keep telling us to believe, believe, believe :D
@Meeper I'm glad you've had your entertainment at our expense, you're acting like an asshere
@Meeper I'm looking at JPL ephemeris source code right now, found on github. It literally "reads and interpolates the jpl planetary ephemeris file" as explained by the program itself
You know what interpolation is, right?
How is it different from 'interpolating' people did long time ago from more rudimentary records xD
Science is supposed to be just a set of tools wielded by men, but that "men" part there breaks everything
Poor lad
Coolio
Free energy is not profitable
Hurray for the holes
@Human Sheeple fascinating!
Flat like the queens bum
@Human Sheeple do you think earth is finite in size or it's actually infinite/practically infinite as far as we're concerned?
There's always something in the way xD
@*VuchucK ๐ฎ๐ yeah
<3
@*VuchucK ๐ฎ๐ I'm from California
<@330401359507619840> the fact that we're dense!
The blue marble is a very artificial image in any case
Lots of people don't understand the basic issue of asking other people to just believe some facts
You can bury anything under layers of semantics and text. There's a lot to talk about. But not with attitude of "you're all wrong, here's my thing, believe it instead"
It helps to approach a discussion in a more friendly constructive way
If you have arguments just to feel better about yourself, what kind of a person does that make you?
Did you consider that maybe you're alienating your potential conversation partner off the bat xD
"You're dumb, believe this instead" isn't very convincing
I hope I put in the right roles xD
Imagine coming to argue something for no reason other than to feel good about yourself
