@McBacoon that counts, but the worst for the Russians is their infrastructure bill. The country is huge, but has less railroads than Germany.
You are spot on
@McBacoon if they pulled back West of the Urals they could indeed do great. It would be a yellow on the chart, and be a function Capitalist country.
"How to stay poor 101: Fuck America"
Best damn thing you ever typed.
@peachy which is?
@peachy I personally don't hate my country, but I am ashamed
Yeah, IQ is genetic
That conversation... Wow
@atheist4thecause I can't agree with most of that but it's mainly all point of view.
I personally think Trump ran all the smart adults out of the Republican party in place of populist stooges. They can't do math, and tend to hate everyone else. I don't see that going well.
There isn't as much progress as the right likes to boast about with NK, but there has been some and I won't take that credit away. There is not physical connects of the two countries besides the DMZ points (still the same.) I personally have no respect for hostages dumb enough to go to a country that consistently does so.
Paris wasn't a bad deal, but most people haven't read it. (It's not the cause of the riots, a series of taxes is.) That being said, it was redundant.
The economy has been growing for 10 years, laying a good economy solely at the foot of anyone is just silly.
My personal politics don't align with Trump well, but he has been effective by the numbers. Problem is, him and his supporters tend to be complete assholes. If results were all that mattered, the Republicans would have had a 60 seat Senate and a 300 seat House. However, they are so bad at pissing people off they ran 1/8th of their collation out of the party.
@McBacoon damn, I agreed with every point.
@McBacoon How do you do the black box quote?
@atheist4thecause I see we have a Zeihan follower here
@atheist4thecause Post a link to Scott please?
Zeihan is the guy who got me into Geopolitics, and the reason I am back in school for economics
Both work, both have significant flaws
Seeing a lot of bad info here. the current spread between men and women is for every dollar a man earns the ladies earn 81 cents. Depending on age, women usually work one to two and a half hours less a week. Men are also 10 times more likely to die from their occupation.
Right... It's why education and roads has been publicly funded for over a hundred and twenty years. Smh
Currently Islam is going through an event that is very similar to the thirty years war in Christianity. From what I am seeing, they are definitely making a change towards the better.
That's just bad accounting from having interest rates at 1% for over 15 years
@Big Smoke ะงัะฝะณัั that's hard to say. A few folks within the alternate history community came to the conclusion that was the biggest "alternate-history what if" of the entire twentieth century.
@Big Smoke ะงัะฝะณัั what are you talking about? if Trotsky had been in charge Germany probably would have gone communist instead of fascist.
@Big Smoke ะงัะฝะณัั Trotsky was the guy who came up with the idea of international revolution, and fully believe in it. Stalin was the guy who wanted to keep communism within the borders of Russia.
With Trotsky in charge of the USSR, there is a very good chance the German communists would have won the struggle against the fascists
@Kenpachi Point of view dude
But if he breaks the American economic/military alliance, history will be very unkind to him
Opposite numbers for me
I love @peachy comment in that picture
Macron is ok, he's not that bimbo Trudeau
@TheBritishGamer โค๐ (Meh) elaborate, because I don't think either party is worth a f***
@TheBritishGamer โค๐ (Meh) times change dude. Democrats aren't the underdog party anymore, they are the intersectional party.
Things will get better, but we are just finishing out year 2 of an 8 to 16 year transition.
@TheBritishGamer โค๐ (Meh) transitions take time. Republicans are just as lonny as the Democrats right now
@TheBritishGamer โค๐ (Meh) did you have policies, bring everyone who hates Trump into one camp obstruct his government.
I will float that, both parties went off the deep end
Universities are filled with smart-asses that think they're better than everyone, because they usually are.
@orenji it's to debate Trump
@orenji general chat
@The Lemon I like her!
For pure theatre value.
@Wyatt_Earp no, your detection unit is busted
@Wyatt_Earp better get that fixed, misunderstandings are a bitch
Demo are left going far left, Repubs are the opposite.
Globalism didn't wreck anyone, people need something to blame for their hardships that they do not understand and are too ignorant to slove.
Examples please, most I can do.
I noticed, but I posted in the wrong place
I thought it was the other one that was farther
Sure, but life would be no fun if we all agreed
@The Lemon you have no idea what you're talking about. The Democrats have people like Bernie, Warren, and Cortez. Once Nancy leaves, the far left will take charge.
@beyond_gravity f*** you! You didn't offer any evidence to support your claim either, go stick it where the sun doesn't shine
@Nyynth you have a terrible understanding of globalization. Globalization was the expansion of the American military/economic alliance. It led to the most prosperous time in human history.
@beyond_gravity that's exactly what globalization is, whether you choose to accept that or not is your failure.
@beyond_gravity if you're too stupid to understand the American military/economic alliance then that's your own problem
@Nyynth no I'm talking about the policy that usually referred to as Bretton Woods, which encompasses the formation of NATO and numerous other alliances exchange for American economic access.
Go on your history you f****** moron
For what it's worth I do apologize for me an ass. I really shouldn't be talking politics when I'm pissed off. I'll chat with you gents later
@beyond_gravity what part of most prosperous time in human history sounds bad to you?
@beyond_gravity yes, kinda helps when you stop spending 10 - 20% of your GDP on weapons.
@beyond_gravity you don't understand how diverting billions of dollars worth of military spending into Civic spending would be a good thing?
That's just one of the many things has changed
@beyond_gravity do I need to explain what I was saying in depth to you?
@beyond_gravity I'm condensing a lot of information here, but here we go. During the Cold war the American strategic policy was to form an economic and military alliance that would eventually contain and defeat the Soviet Union. The terms of the alliance were simple, any member could access the markets of any other member (particularly the Americans) in exchange for Washington having military control of the alliance.
Everything from the EU to the Chinese boom is all result of this alliance. Because of this the global population tripled, every country outside of sub-Saharan Africa has been able to develop, hunger is at an all-time low, and most importantly since the collapse of the Soviet Union there hasn't been a major war.
The interconnections that alliance forged today is what we call globalism, and while it has only been a short time it is the closest thing humanity has had to a golden age.
@TheBritishGamer โค๐ (Meh) I'm about half empty and half not on the EU. If I look to the USA it shows you what a strong Federal state can really accomplish. However, the EU is divided by a language barrier and some form of light culture barriers.
Overall, you guys either need to be completely in or completely out. However, this half in half out set up is about the worst idea you could possibly have.
Oh and by the way, Germany is the best country.
@TheBritishGamer โค๐ (Meh) I'll float the AfD part
That's cute
Holy shit, has Trump been listening to my debates?
https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-pledges-5-8b-aid-centam-4-8b-183643404.html
@The People's Interest finishing an article and going to bed.
Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama
Considering the barrier to entry is s popularity contest, yeah.
Yeah, it was loaded
"And the Trumpist right has more of a grasp on the center."
Right had the exact same problem
Dude, the President is Trump!
@TheBritishGamer โค๐ (Meh) not a chance. He was only a Democrat because he was pro-choice
That's not in dispute (the democrat part)
What does he agree with the Democrats on now?
No, that's Hillary
Respectfully disagree
@beyond_gravity wow
Hillary is a shrill person, but she doesn't go about screwing people over. Trump tends to wreck everyone he comes in contact with.
Great argument
Lol, calling shitty people shitty is not a sign of being a shitty person.
You are judging her by those who support her. I bet you don't do the same for Trump and his pipe Boomer supporter.
Arrogant, absolutely. Yet, pales in comparison to the massive ego of Trump.
Americans indeed don't like to be insulted, but it doesn't change the fact that many of them are terrible folks. I praise any political person who has the balls to say that.
Actually she was one of the better Sec of States in the last 20 years, but that's just opinion.
@The Lemon never said I liked her, but she is so much better than Trump.
The Dems stopped Bernie because the dude is completely out of touch and a threat to the party. Absolutely don't blame them.
@The Lemon Bernie definitely had a better chance than Hillary, it was stupid of her to think that she could win the presidency based on the fact that she was a woman.
However, Bernie can't do f****** math and appeals to the lowest common denominator in all of liberalism. the Democrats know that if Bernie got control of the party, they would you have the same problem that the Republican to do with Trump (and was no fucking clue what's going on, making critical decisions)
@The Lemon experience does not imply competence.
Eh kinda, liberals will hit their own too. See All Frankin
This was interesting...
I personally think I'm the only sexual moderate here
To me it's more "X is the root of all evil." Least, that is what I have largely heard and seen.
@Deleted User yeah, not how I see it at all.
@Deleted User hate to side with @NobleBeing but Wall Street is now telling it's male employees to avoid women at all costs. Better to have a sexual discrimination fine than a sexual assault lawsuit.
@Deleted User and that's where you lost me
@Deleted User "Not raping is too hard a concept for those slimeballs." Sounds really sexist to me, which is why I feel I'm the only moderate here.
@Deleted User usually I hear almost everywhere has a history of sexual abuse. Sure seems like everyone is a scumbag while wanting to be equal.
^
If Hickenlooper wins the primary, Trump is screwed. Joe Kennedy will also give him a decent run.
@Deleted User do the 8 values test
And that's where @NobleBeing loses me
Bam! Sam is right on target there.
I was wondering how long I would have to wait for another "X will be the end of Western Civilization" post. Give the next one 3 days.
You still talking?
๐คฃ
@Wyatt_Earp who is worse, men or women?
@TheNobody you can't argue with people who are nuts
๐
@TheNobody the problem is I see that on both sides.
"I can't get a good girlfriend because feminism ruined women."
"Women get all the special treatment, guys just fall on a sword for them."
I really think the reality is that the vast majority of people now suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect, and people treat others like shit because most people are shit. Feminism and MGTOWs just scapegoat folks.
@TheNobody that wasn't a shot at you. It was what I hear in general.
