If two people have a strong drive to bring kids into the world, great. But I don't think it's something to be entered into lightly. I hate the idea of "checking off all the boxes" in order to appease society.
@Scribblehatch Peterson, too, comes off as rather pushy in this area. Maybe I'm misreading him, but I get the feeling he views children as the only path to meaning in life. From my perspective, that decision should be based on genuine desire and not the expectations of others.

JBP is interesting to listen to. Granted, I've only tuned in here and there. I've disagreed with him on a couple of issues, and his stance on raising children is one. It seems to border on worshipful. "The right direction" for Peterson may well be a disaster for someone else.

There are some fairly recent statements from him, however, which suggest a less extreme view on kids. Maybe he has shifted slightly on the subject. Or the clips I saw a while back didn't fully represent his opinion. ๐คท
