I was going to ask what Thomas Paynes book was about but it seems like I don't need to ask that

I remember being told that when applying for a job, experience matters more. But at this point, I can't even tell if that's correct anymore since people are constantly bringing other factors into the mix

I'm doing that at the same time, a reason why I'm attending this course is due to the opportunities that are available with the course such as recording in various studios, meeting prominent and old Musicians and having the chance to learn from them

I'm fairly certain I saw a modern art project somewhere like that

I've been taught that as well, always have a fallback in the music industry

That's why I'm building connections so if I don't have work I can contact one so I can be a sound engineer at a gig or tour with bands

Used to work at B&Q though, had a really good understanding of lightbulbs but that's about it

I've applied to a multitude of jobs, mostly those in the music area of things however I haven't heard back from any of them yet. I've recently sent out another seven so if I don't receive any kind of notice within a week I'll send out a few more to different areas

They'd likely do a lot of these things in different events such as gigs or talks, however I don't have the money to attend those so I'll likely need a job to earn whatever money I can so I can network in that way

Although, a large aspect of the course that I want to study is networking, so I'll have a lot of chances to network while I'm there which I'm going to use as much as I can
