College will get you certified in systems and does tech some things you may not know
that might not even been enough
have you made a game when you were like 14
otherwise why would stem or any college exist?
Music Hannibal
No I haven't, that's something that I'm somewhat worried about as well Hannibal
@Goblin_Slayer_Floki Colleges don't teach you anything. They test your knowledge and hand out credit.
you wont succeed sorry kid. i really hope you do i hope you get a job you truly love and passionate about
If they will expect me to code certain parts for music to be added etc although I know nothing of coding so I wouldn't really know
^
My point exactly
Right. So then what is stem? Few people enter it with full knowledge of all of the field
its really hard to succeed in the industry even if you are skilled
they are levtured tought, do labs, ect
you need to have charm and connections
That's something that's been drilled into me for a few years, going to this Uni will allow me to network as well
thats good
@Goblin_Slayer_Floki And? That's not giving you a *skill*, it's just introducing you to an activity.
Few music does coding
you gotta network alot
THAT IS *TEACHING YOU SOMETHING YOU DONE KNOW*
ack caps
if you wanna be the next jeremy soule or martin o donnel XD
dumb phone
I agree, I plan to build up as much experience as needed
Even if I can't work for a company in Japan straight away, I'll still attempt to find a company that I can work for and build experience there before trying again
All schools test knowledge and give credit. But they have to impart knowledge before testing it
I have a lot of time to do this so I'm not worried
@Goblin_Slayer_Floki What I'm saying is, this kid might learn a thing or two about a new topic, but he won't be the top of his class because there's *always* going to be that guy who goes into college already an expert and just reaps the credit hours.
I'm not sure how it works in the US but getting 20 credits in each module is fine with me
This is true. But you dont know this kids learning skill. Some can pick up quick and hit towards the top.
Considering that if I get 20 credits in all modules then I will have a bachellors
I've been a musician since I was 7 and play at a Grade 8 music level
In multiple brass instruments
So I'm alright on the music theory front
@Goblin_Slayer_Floki If he was great at it, he would already be an expert without college. That's the difference between "getting in the door", and being the one selected
Riiight
I do agree with a lot of Infringed's points
he is right though wether you like it or not
it aint easy
