I have a Skype group where people aren't able to speak but they can type and respond; feel weird doing it all the way up here

Every so often it can work out. I have a German friend I met online and she met her American bf a few years back and they've been steady since.

But then again they're fortunate enough to visit each other once or twice a year so that definitely helps.

Typically I'm in a group for another fandom that's mostly based on Skype, but a lot of them are in Europe and I've been having a shortage of talking to fellow 'Muricans lately

(there is a Discord for the fandom as well but it's become infested with 14 year old speedrunners lol)
