Can't say I've ever watched anything of his
that'll work about as well as you'd expect
murder rates would rise for expected and unexpected reasons
Question, does anyone know of a print house that prints those amazingly cheap testaments that would have been found in the pockets of all Bible thumpers and recovering alcoholics of yore?
I'm looking to have similar format for some promotional materials
@Goodwood of Dankโข like the Gideons, but commercial
@Chuckler lol. Those were always laughable, I was actually talking about someone who printed on that extremely thin paper and bounds with that paper leatherette
@Goodwood of Dankโข they have their own presses and volunteers run them
@Goodwood of Dankโข nope, band promotional material
The persona of lead singer is of a style of revivalist minister
But there music is not religious in any way
Their
Dyac
The concept is to have a testament sold or given away at shows containing lyrics to all songs in set list
While the front man interacts with the audience as if he's running a US southern church service
Oh, this is very kekistani in nature, @Goodwood of Dankโข
Complete with asking audience to turn to specific pages to follow along and handing out "programs" for the "service"
Theatrics is not always a bad thing
well, apparently, it's now political if a corporation wants to donate to religious charities
let's not forget the evils the perform, like giving the homeless somewhere to sleep
and clothing donations, the SHAME
look, i'm a methodist and we do community outreach/missionary work/volunteering in the community as part of our religious duty
i lost respect for dan cathy after hearing today that they bowed the knee to leftists instead of standing to his company principles(yes, i'm salty)
@randomNPCno3 there is a regular challenge of power...we call them elections
@randomNPCno3 at any election cycle, in a free system, the incumbent can be voted out
the only thing stopping that is an apathetic electorate
and when the electorate is apathetic, what does it matter? they reap what they sow
do something to make people care?
if you're talking about PRC, they haven't had meaningful elections in 70+ years
but if you're talking about the US, grassroots campaigning is going to be the only way to create any affect on the political landscape
if the electorate votes for term limits, let us have term limits
i do remember when i lived in arkansas and they put term limits on state legislators...things got more corrupt, not less
@Marushia Dark it left lobbyists as the only long time denizens of the state house
@Marushia Dark one can't very well run the lobbyists out of little rock on a rail...this isn't the 1940s
keep in mind, i haven't lived in arkansas in over 10 years
i spent a decade in new york then recently came back south to mississippi
i left little rock a liberal...left brooklyn a conservative
quite literally voted with my feet both times
well, let's see...statistics...blacks make up roughly 23% of the us population...commit just over half the murders, and often murder other blacks...there's a social issue in black communities that has become a larger societal issue
and many agree that the problem is the breakdown of the nuclear family in black communities
by many, i talk a lot to local political types
the problem, most of those political types refuse to acknowledge the causes of the breakdown of the black american family
a large proportion of the "mass shootings" as defined by the media, are disproportionately committed by non-whites
mass-shooting isn't a race issue, it's a symptom of other problems
i'd even argue that the disproportionate level of black violent crime is less a race issue and more an issue of class warfare fought at the government level, then the consequences of such
@Tiberius but when they parrot statistics of mass shootings, they include those in the numbers
just as when a gun grabber quotes shooting statistics, they also count suicides
never-trumpers...you mean antifa wearing a false flag?
ben shapiro and, by extension, his whole network, seem to have softened on trump
isn't that called, "having one's own opinion"?
i see no issue with calling out someone on anything that i take issue with...ally or adversary
hell, i only voted for trump as a middle finger to the leftists in my (then) city...i didn't really like him, per se
but i'm pleasantly surprised in his job performance
@Marushia Dark i spent time going to northern new jersey to buy gas and lock parts because it was cheaper to pay the toll than to buy it in brooklyn
worse was when i lived in staten island...you have to pay to go home
i actually liked ted cruz in 2016...it was shameful what they did to him in the bronx
sorry if i'm not staying on topic...
awb?
assault weapon ban, ok...sorry
i'm a little slow on the uptake
i haven't owned a gun in 10 years
and while i stand behind the right to bear arms, i don't exactly have the funding to reindulge atm
and no, i'm not asking, in case anyone started to get that thought
oh ffs
it also depends on the circumstance surrounding
as a married man, i refrain from speaking of my wife's best friend outside my marriage
considering that i don't have a girlfriend, you're probably right
you have fun with that...i'll just be over here smoking by the piano
@ETBrooD 3rd layer, "it shows"
well, looks like i got a job next week...finally
@Boop / ๋ธํ / C'thUwU that's it, i stop the planet...i want off
or use the gun so you can keep paying the insurance premium, leaving money to your grandkids instead of your spouse
i got a funny for you guys...
got called a racist friday night by a drunk in the drive through over my annoyance with his antics
the difficulty of holding a bow drawn increases exponentially with time
compound bows are a different story since there's a sharp dropoff in force required when bow is fully drawn
modern recurve bows, though, have the same issue
longbows with any appreciable draw weight are actually rare
either way, if you want something more than, say, 65lb, you will either be having it custom-made or making it yourself
and with the english longbow, the typical draw weight was around 100lb
@Tubby the Skelly Bones ok...
@Tubby the Skelly Bones still something you won't easily get your hands on at an archery shop\
@Tubby the Skelly Bones then you have to account for the fact that commercially-available hunting arrows are not going to withstand the forces the bow puts on them for long
@Lucienne d'Anwyl you pull your .50 cal revolver and unload on it
brown bears are more aggressive than black bears
boogaloo starts in virginia
@dizzy it's tradition that bills must be written down on paper. they literally have to be placed in a box before they can be considered
