holding a drawn bow is the isometric workout from hell

2019-12-02 09:14:11 UTC

Not if its an appropriate strength bow

2019-12-02 09:14:37 UTC

the difficulty of holding a bow drawn increases exponentially with time

2019-12-02 09:14:40 UTC

Medieval long bows would be a fucking bitch in draw weight

2019-12-02 09:14:44 UTC

just wastes your strength for no reason

2019-12-02 09:14:46 UTC

Compared to modern ones

2019-12-02 09:14:56 UTC

Draw pull shoot, and you might have to do that upwards of 30 times- think of doing a bent over dumbbell raise 30 times with between 40-65KG weight

2019-12-02 09:15:16 UTC

Holding it would be an exercise in and of itself

2019-12-02 09:15:33 UTC

Even with my bow I have yet to fire off 30 shots like that tbh

2019-12-02 09:15:53 UTC

compound bows are a different story since there's a sharp dropoff in force required when bow is fully drawn

2019-12-02 09:16:15 UTC

Compound bows are not real bows and are for women <:shrug:349342983763656705>

2019-12-02 09:16:17 UTC

Why

2019-12-02 09:16:20 UTC

I like the mod that's now called 'big junk redux'

2019-12-02 09:16:26 UTC

I can pick up things like skeletons and road barriers and car engines but its all very heavy

2019-12-02 09:16:29 UTC

@Samaritan™ not many places used longbows

2019-12-02 09:16:29 UTC

@Storin I hate compound bows

2019-12-02 09:16:35 UTC

Something just feels off

2019-12-02 09:16:37 UTC

Because modern compounds have wheels to ease the tension and thus allow a weak person to use more power

2019-12-02 09:16:40 UTC

theres a reason england and only england is known for them

2019-12-02 09:16:41 UTC

modern recurve bows, though, have the same issue

2019-12-02 09:16:47 UTC

I only use recurve

2019-12-02 09:16:56 UTC

you still need to draw the bow

2019-12-02 09:16:57 UTC

recurve bows existed back then

2019-12-02 09:17:00 UTC

composite bows too

2019-12-02 09:17:03 UTC

I also have craftable adhesives which adds a bunch of different adhesive recipes like rubber cement and plastic cement and animal bone glue

2019-12-02 09:17:03 UTC

You get a higher weight sure but you get less of the work

2019-12-02 09:17:14 UTC

Basically modern compounds are a lazy persons game

2019-12-02 09:17:16 UTC

So it is a scam

2019-12-02 09:17:16 UTC

let off doesnt help if you cant draw it to the point it lets off

2019-12-02 09:17:23 UTC

China is asshol

2019-12-02 09:17:25 UTC

Indeed

2019-12-02 09:17:25 UTC

Bow for cucks

2019-12-02 09:17:30 UTC

You should straight up use a recurve or a warbow

2019-12-02 09:17:39 UTC

*longbow

2019-12-02 09:17:44 UTC

or you could use something with the same power but easier

2019-12-02 09:17:44 UTC

the second the person on the phone sounds chinese i hang up

2019-12-02 09:17:46 UTC

some people like hitting the target though

2019-12-02 09:17:46 UTC

Use a compound, be a cool dude

2019-12-02 09:17:47 UTC

A warbow can be anybow but normally it means a "traditional" bow
