Voila, I now have ranks
I mean it's the ideal form of nationalism for a multicultural society imo ๐คท
I disagree, perhaps it has to do with the groups you're importing. I live in ๐น๐น an extremely diverse semi-shithole
I think that homosexuals are able to function normally in society, I have some reservations with regard to people identifying as trans, I don't think I fully understand how that phenomenon works, but ๐คท
Who is them ๐ @Orwell
Oh, I have no quarrels with that group of people. In my country a very different group of people are the '1%'
I dunno, if you ask me a lot of Westerners blame Jews for the problems in their societies because they are too high-handed and proud to take their own failures at face value and move forward.
I feel the same way about people of colour who blame slavery and historic disadvantage for their own personal failures
- waits for hate train -
Yes because a few Jews control your banks all are suddenly evil
How logical
I hate Hollywood, but I still don't think you can blame Judaism for the things high-handed lefties who have huge trust funds and stuff promulgate in Hollywood
@Deleted User Uptight but when everyone has a bit to drink it becomes really fun, like they're really fun lol
Well here there are just two political parties that are large, neither with any explicit ideology just divided based on race so yeah
@Aki Trinidad and Tobago
I disagree because here people still have their own separate cultural identifies; I think that a set of values like environmentalism, tolerance for other cultures to an extent, a thorough understanding of the political system, a deep knowledge and appreciation of the history of the country, as well as a sort of 'collectivism through individualism' where unity is brought about through the celebration of individual rights @Bearer Of The Curse
I don't think you need to enforce 'one culture' in multinational countries like mine, but certain aspects of the cultures need to be erased permanently
What's wrong with individual rights?
I think you can have a strong state that still respects individual rights
I like seeing the order and unity of many strong authoritarian states, however it's all well and good until your revolution 'for the state' winds up leaving you in an oppressive state that was nothing like you had in mind
Bring about unity through the promulgation of certain values and make these values perpetuated through the education system
Completely disagree
The NSDAP let youth travel to youth hostels throughout Germany as field trips to gain an appreciation of their Homeland and whatnot; teach people about the environment and it's importance, take students on cleanups across the country, hikes, camping etc. and to youth hostels and the values will become self-perpetuating
You don't need an authoritative regime controlling everything for a society to be functional; just value consensus and stable and strong institutions- those values should be positive as well
Expropriate church land and turn the big ones into historical sites while tearing down the more useless ones
Let people worship reason instead
Bonsoir
It's the fluoride that dumbs you down
It does
Stop giving your kids fluoridated water !!!
Hello there
Nm dying of boredom
Hello there
@Orwell I've got a question
Why would the Jewish media who supposedly adhere to this zionist extremism want to eliminate white America when White America gives Israel billions in funds and literally protects it from its shitty, hostile neighbours by propping it up in the region with finance?
@Deleted User Thanks ๐ฏ
Well as a person of colour I can guarantee that I don't want to get rid of white people ๐คท Must be something in the water in America ๐
I give no fucks if people hate me for my race, I'd just rather they hate me for my opinions is all
I don't understand the question @tyrone
I don't live in America @edik
๐น๐น Trinidad and Tobago, a backward and corrupt Caribbean island that has grown wealthy through the oil and gas industry but is now run by a disgusting elite that are squandering our mineral wealth and destroying our industry. @edik
I support Israel
The UN is biased against Israel; most of the world is biased against Israel.
Israel is subject to institutional discrimination
Individualism and Collectivism are not so different, you know ๐
With regard to classical liberal trains of thought, ideas like 'liberty, equality and fraternity' were espoused in the French Revolution, those who advocated for these beliefs banded together and slaughtered anyone who opposed their regime, because liberty is only acceptable insofar as your opinion does not deviate from what the majority believe. In that sense, collectivists are not so different from individualists; advocates of individualism band together (to this day) and while maintaining freedom, impose coercion (anti-liberty) and death for those who oppose them, these advocates while maintaining ideals of equality discriminated against individuals who did not hold to their ideals.
Hence, liberalism and individualism are also collectivist systems that uphold their own divinized ideals and they tyrannically coerce individuals to adhere to these ideals; if they do not do this, they are discriminated against or subject to wrath. Imo, this is evident to this day with groups like antifa who dox people and lose people their jobs and whatnot, really no different from other forms of collectivism like fascism in that regard, other than the fact that those other ideologies do not pretend to be something they are not ๐คท
Most things hunt/attack each other out of necessity though, js
Humans don't need to kill eachother in the present day, except like
I'm sorry, I don't want limitless migrants entering my homeland. I appreciate our culture no matter how backward it may be, I think it can be repaired, I'd rather try and fail to see it fixed than have it changed by swamping our land with foreigners
How are black people ruining what you have?
I'm a person of colour and I put my friends on blast for saying shit like this, but people don't commit crime just because they want to do so, hooligans and vandals need to be punished and re-educated, the poor and disadvantaged need to be re-educated and employed, if people are struggling and committing crime as a way to afford their lifestyles, help them out in that regard. ***However***, as a sociology student, you also need to give them a new 'culture' so to speak
๐คท
@ฮตรฏะท irma ฮตรฏะท If you dont want to read what I say because of my skin colour you're pretty fucking stupid, js
You're probably a fat neckbeard incel ๐คท
Because you just said you stopped reading my message after I said I was a person of colour ๐
I'm not a libtard
I'm not even left-leaning
I see
I don't hold many classic liberal ideals
I like the concept of the state and order but with I also like the ideal of people being afforded individual rights, I suppose in that sense my entire political outlook is just a litany of contradictions ๐คท
Bonjour
Obviously not
I fail to see the point of an ethnostate ๐คท
Or it could never happen because scapegoating national problems onto the issue of race doesn't actually solve the problems
Such as? I'm sure most things you will say are more cultural than racial
Culture is fluid and prone to amalgamation and evolution and skin colour is not
@Huff How do you know if one ethnic group is 'genetically inclined' to violence?
I disagree
Also disagree @Huff
Have you ever heard of a theorist named Oscar Lewis?
He developed what is today known as the culture of poverty thesis, I'll give you a brief outline of it/how it works and you'll see shocking similarities with black America
(He studied poor households in India, USA & Mexico)
He was mainly concerned with showing how adaptations to poverty resulted in cultural values that became self-perpetuating and identified a number of traits, norms and other dispositions that he noted were adaptations to the conditions of poverty which, as stated earlier, became a self-perpetuating lifestyle; a culture
Here were some of the traits he outlined:
- Instant gratification (fatalism; living for the present)
- Low aspirations; high rates of educational dropout, illiteracy, etc
- Women as the centre of the household, men as marginal/occasional contributors
- Men as fathers of many children, having 'bling' ornaments, 'sharp dressers'
- Families with high incidences of unwed mothers, teen pregnancies and cohabitation rather than marriage
- Little reliance on banks, no savings or investment strategies
Among others
I personally think that the culture of poverty that I outlined earlier manifested itself in hip-hop/rap music which is proven to contribute to violence (I see it as one more part of the self-perpetuating culture of poverty) and combined with the work of another theorists' work, Franklin Frazier, who posited that slavery was responsible for the same characteristics lewis outlined (I do not think this, but I think that he is right with regard to the notion that the plantaton resulted in African people in the New World having no real culture, resulting in the 'culture of poverty' being their only semblance of culture, and hence something embraced by the community as a whole)
It's not about being poor, it's about adaptations to poverty becoming a self-perpetuated culture which is then idealized and divinized ***because of*** the lack of any other culture
because of the fact that they have their own indigenous cultures
