In what sense, mental or political?

2018-12-25 15:49:33 UTC

@Deleted User Uptight but when everyone has a bit to drink it becomes really fun, like they're really fun lol

2018-12-25 15:50:01 UTC

Well here there are just two political parties that are large, neither with any explicit ideology just divided based on race so yeah

2018-12-25 15:51:26 UTC

Family divided by politics is bloody terrible.

2018-12-25 15:51:48 UTC

No healthy discourse or upbringing ever comes of that.

2018-12-25 15:51:50 UTC

@Dylan Where are u from?

2018-12-25 15:52:17 UTC

I mean country.

2018-12-25 15:53:37 UTC

@Kazimir Malevich both lol they voted for Hillary Clinton

2018-12-25 15:54:00 UTC

That's what I have to live with

2018-12-25 15:54:07 UTC

American politics are needlessly divisive for their simplicity.

2018-12-25 15:54:24 UTC

Good point lol the parties are pretty similar

2018-12-25 15:54:44 UTC

But yeah, I get you. Half of my family has one opinion on the Ukraine war, and another one - a different one.

@Aki Trinidad and Tobago

2018-12-25 16:11:56 UTC

cultural nationalism would be better for multinat countries

2018-12-25 16:13:42 UTC

hmmm... ok

2018-12-25 16:13:42 UTC

Cultural nationalism is the best for countries with a culture. Certainly such an ideology would be ill-fitting for consumerist modern societies like America.

2018-12-25 16:14:04 UTC

Cultural Nationalism would be ideal for America

2018-12-25 16:14:12 UTC

if we can find a way to kill consumerism

2018-12-25 16:14:36 UTC

I disagree because here people still have their own separate cultural identifies; I think that a set of values like environmentalism, tolerance for other cultures to an extent, a thorough understanding of the political system, a deep knowledge and appreciation of the history of the country, as well as a sort of 'collectivism through individualism' where unity is brought about through the celebration of individual rights @Bearer Of The Curse

2018-12-25 16:14:40 UTC

America has its values written, it can become cultnat

2018-12-25 16:14:45 UTC

That would be ideal, but America is too far-gone in this regard @PunishedMuskovy

2018-12-25 16:15:10 UTC

I don't think you need to enforce 'one culture' in multinational countries like mine, but certain aspects of the cultures need to be erased permanently

2018-12-25 16:15:17 UTC

There are many different cultures within America

2018-12-25 16:15:29 UTC

There can't be an American Nationalism of any sort

2018-12-25 16:15:32 UTC

yea America is fucked

2018-12-25 16:15:38 UTC

Some may disagree here, but the idea of the American Dream is far too easy to turn into something consumerist.

2018-12-25 16:15:41 UTC

It was all ok until you said individual rights

2018-12-25 16:15:46 UTC

Imperialism is American culture

2018-12-25 16:15:57 UTC

What's wrong with individual rights?

2018-12-25 16:16:01 UTC

Obesity is American culture.

2018-12-25 16:16:08 UTC
