2017-11-07 22:25:36 UTC

Not from Virginia, but I did vote

2017-11-07 22:26:20 UTC

Also thanks for sharing hours before the first results come in

2017-11-07 22:29:52 UTC

2017-11-07 22:32:57 UTC

So many scummy people

2017-11-07 22:33:08 UTC

Hope they get a long sentence

2017-11-07 22:33:09 UTC

disgusting

2017-11-07 22:33:52 UTC

a death sentence is too good for some people

2017-11-07 22:34:45 UTC

So think Theresa will make it past the new year?

2017-11-07 22:35:10 UTC

If you are in favour of the death sentence than you are OK somethimes killing inocent people

2017-11-07 22:35:31 UTC

If they were innocent they shouldnโ€™t have looked guilty

2017-11-07 22:35:37 UTC

Kill em anyway

2017-11-07 22:35:51 UTC

@DanConway This video by James Allsup ends with a quote I find quite off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqP7-G3unlk

2017-11-07 22:35:51 UTC

jeremy corbyn is too much of a nut job

2017-11-07 22:35:52 UTC

And let GOD sort them out

2017-11-07 22:36:12 UTC

ill check it out

2017-11-07 22:36:22 UTC

I keep hearing how the crusaders killed all non Christians when they took Jerusalem

2017-11-07 22:36:41 UTC

But didnโ€™t the guy in charge of the city kick all the Christians out before the siege?

2017-11-07 22:38:02 UTC

I have yet to see a credible alternative to representative democracy

2017-11-07 22:38:57 UTC

Muh philosopher king

2017-11-07 22:39:15 UTC

muh benevolent tyrant

2017-11-07 22:39:25 UTC

Basically

2017-11-07 22:40:05 UTC

Or plutocracy I guess

2017-11-07 22:40:32 UTC

constitutional representative republic

2017-11-07 22:41:07 UTC

You are arguing semantics

2017-11-07 22:41:39 UTC

ehhhh

2017-11-07 22:41:49 UTC

it needs to be specific

2017-11-07 22:41:50 UTC

Republics are inherently democratic

2017-11-07 22:42:19 UTC

You still have elections

2017-11-07 22:42:39 UTC

You could argue a noble republic isnt

2017-11-07 22:42:47 UTC

that is the specific term we use in the US

2017-11-07 22:43:04 UTC

"representative"

2017-11-07 22:43:10 UTC

> Democracy

2017-11-07 22:43:12 UTC

And a lot of tinpot dictatorships like to call themself republics

2017-11-07 22:44:03 UTC

someday

2017-11-07 22:44:22 UTC

Ah sedition

2017-11-07 22:44:50 UTC

they would still be part of the US

2017-11-07 22:44:52 UTC

They had a chance several decades ago

2017-11-07 22:44:57 UTC

just breaking up the state

2017-11-07 22:44:59 UTC

Unfortunately their big rally was December 8th 1941

2017-11-07 22:45:50 UTC

Too bad they don't have a clause like Texas' constitution

2017-11-07 22:46:04 UTC

They reserve the right to divide into up to 5 separate states IIRC

2017-11-07 22:49:33 UTC

โ€œIf the right to vote were expanded to seven year olds โ€ฆ its policies would most definitely reflect the โ€˜legitimate concernsโ€™ of children to have โ€˜adequateโ€™ and โ€˜equalโ€™ access to โ€˜freeโ€™ french fries, lemonade and videos.โ€

2017-11-07 22:49:51 UTC

-Hans-Hermann Hoppe

2017-11-07 22:50:50 UTC

What is the point you are trying to make here?

2017-11-07 22:51:50 UTC

oh it was a response to the quote Kulak refered too

2017-11-07 22:52:00 UTC

oh OK

2017-11-07 22:52:26 UTC

Can you give a TLDW?

2017-11-07 22:53:14 UTC

Democracy needs checks and balances.

2017-11-07 22:53:45 UTC

Yes otherwise it would be mob rule

2017-11-07 22:53:48 UTC

The Tyranny of the majority can be just as bad as the Tyranny of a Dictator

2017-11-07 22:54:32 UTC

Makes sense that collectivism forms a single body to act on others as a dictator

2017-11-07 22:55:22 UTC

That is why the founding fathers talked about "the Problem of Democracy"

2017-11-07 22:56:14 UTC

Democracy is the best system we currenty have

2017-11-07 22:56:20 UTC

No itโ€™s gay

2017-11-07 22:56:29 UTC

It has flaws just like capitalism

2017-11-07 22:56:46 UTC

im just explaining why Constituitonal Representative Republic is the correct term

2017-11-07 22:57:08 UTC

Or indirect democracy

2017-11-07 22:57:17 UTC

We vote for people to vote not we vote

2017-11-07 22:57:38 UTC

I dont know how dirrect democracy could work in the US

2017-11-07 22:57:59 UTC

They have ballout initiatives and they get low turnout

2017-11-07 22:58:44 UTC

#NeverForgetTheGulags

2017-11-07 22:58:57 UTC

Youโ€™d think ๐Ÿ‘Œ is the only emoji on this server with how often itโ€™s used

2017-11-07 22:59:18 UTC

โ€œBut the US prison system is worse than gulags it has more people!โ€

2017-11-07 23:05:34 UTC

Very similar to US mili kills more than terrorism

A republic has to be democratic.
But not democratic for the people.
It could just as easily be democratic for the elite, I.e nobility, the rich, other politicians etc. These are not new concepts.
Venice was a republic for example.

2017-11-08 01:05:03 UTC

Democracy is a spectrum

2017-11-08 01:06:14 UTC

I have more options than John or Joyce?

2017-11-08 01:06:35 UTC

Because this democracy of ours is full of choice

2017-11-08 01:08:32 UTC

Spectrums are a thing bro

2017-11-08 01:09:14 UTC

Collapsing issues into binaries is just as retarded as forcing binaries into spectrums

2017-11-08 01:20:17 UTC

'cause my vote junk

2017-11-08 01:20:19 UTC

it goes oh oh oh

2017-11-08 01:20:50 UTC

That's exactly the right message

2017-11-08 01:22:08 UTC

doesn't have to be either/or or or

2017-11-08 01:22:39 UTC

*mumbles something about voting Constitution Party*

2017-11-08 01:23:27 UTC

Muh third party

2017-11-08 01:24:23 UTC

Muh muh

2017-11-08 01:26:59 UTC

I actually do kind of want a third party now

2017-11-08 01:27:23 UTC

Because I no longer give a fuck about hurting the Democrats

2017-11-08 01:31:30 UTC

I think the last viable third party... was the prohibition party

2017-11-08 01:31:47 UTC

as far as a third party actually getting any serious political clout, at least

2017-11-08 01:32:33 UTC

most other smaller parties, as soon as they actually start to get traction, seem to wind up fracturing themselves with people getting waaaaaaay ahead of themselves int he powergrab sweepstakes

2017-11-08 01:34:53 UTC

dude @ 1:30 appears to be... "involuntarily transitioning"..

2017-11-08 01:44:59 UTC

Part of the problem there could be that third parties arise from the fringe of one end of the spectrum

2017-11-08 01:45:15 UTC

I would want some kind of more centrist party

2017-11-08 01:46:11 UTC

Gain bipartisan support as opposed to just fracturing one of the wings

2017-11-08 02:16:09 UTC

Did any of you guys watch this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REHex5e57HI

2017-11-08 02:16:17 UTC

Has a lot of dislikes.
