I've had a Bitcoin wallet with like 0.001 in it just sitting for the last couple years. Lol.

2020-05-11 20:26:44 UTC

I'm holding monero, it's like bitcoin but untraceable, hope it goes up more

2020-05-11 20:34:24 UTC

I like monero, not a fan of having just one address though. I can't publicly post one address to receive donations and a different one for private transactions.

2020-05-11 20:37:03 UTC

You could make another address for donations and post that one. Multiple addresses are allowed in a single wallet iirc.

2020-05-11 20:51:38 UTC

Maybe. I haven't used it in a couple years.

2020-05-11 20:53:20 UTC

I just got in a couple mos ago, could have changed

2020-05-12 00:49:41 UTC

Iโ€™m not into all the cryptoโ€™s yet but I know a lot ab normal finance

2020-05-12 00:50:05 UTC

Sadly IRAs and 401ks are all dependent on the state so...

2020-05-12 02:28:53 UTC

Nowโ€™s the time to buy stocks

2020-05-12 02:29:03 UTC

ERX is a good one

2020-05-12 02:29:31 UTC

Its eh

2020-05-12 02:29:44 UTC

put it in berk.b

2020-05-12 02:29:48 UTC

forget about it

2020-05-12 02:32:38 UTC

bitcoin, Probably see a return on that in a year

2020-05-12 02:33:54 UTC

I got shitted on by crypto. I lost thousands when it crashed a couple year back. Havenโ€™t invested in it since. Economy is down. Lots of cheap stocks out there now

2020-05-12 23:32:34 UTC

Donโ€™t even fuss with individual stocks

2020-05-12 23:32:43 UTC

Index funds and let them ride

2020-05-13 02:10:24 UTC

My 401k is back up to where it was before the start of this covid shit

2020-05-13 03:26:23 UTC

Iโ€™d be more worried ab long term effects

2020-05-13 19:28:16 UTC

reminds me that I need to move my 401k from my old job to my new job

2020-05-14 02:35:09 UTC

Just remembered, there's a mutual fund that my economics professor suggested as supposedly it consistently outperforms the S&P 500. "AMAGX"

2020-05-14 02:39:16 UTC

still pretty closely matches it, though it doesn't seem to dump as hard as the rest of the stock market when things turn south. I forgot what it was, but he said something about being ran with islamic principles, specifically excluding certain types of businesses.

2020-05-15 07:07:35 UTC

islamic principles also means (mostly) no interest rate on loans. or very low rates.

2020-05-15 12:40:15 UTC

I wanna say he said they don't have any stock that has to do with banking companies

2020-05-15 21:01:55 UTC

> islamic principles also means (mostly) no interest rate on loans. or very low rates.
@Thecoolnerd98 Christian doctrine also condemns usury, unlike Talmudic Judaism.

2020-05-15 21:02:14 UTC

Unfortunately thats rarely followed anymore

2020-05-21 05:10:35 UTC

I cashed my 401k out a while ago. Yeah I had to pay taxes and penalty and no longer get employer matching. But I've literally doubled my return rate by re-investing everything myself. Plus I can take out the money whenever I want now without asking for permission or getting slapped with penalties and taxes. Obviously dont do this if you dont have any clue about investing.

2020-05-21 05:14:28 UTC

Fucking taxes

2020-05-21 12:38:53 UTC

Taxation is theft

2020-05-23 13:57:05 UTC

Indeed

2020-05-23 22:40:46 UTC

It is, indeed

2020-05-23 22:43:27 UTC

Good evening gents.
I disagree

2020-05-23 22:57:10 UTC

Daily reminder that taxation is theft

2020-05-23 23:01:40 UTC

I was trying for a drive by argument and y'all just took it

2020-05-23 23:02:50 UTC

Hey fellow people that agree that taxation is theft

2020-05-23 23:25:06 UTC

TAXES ARE THE PRICE WE PAY FOR CIVILIZED SOCIETY!!

Now fight me bitches

2020-05-23 23:39:31 UTC

Taxes arenโ€™t inherently evil

2020-05-23 23:39:41 UTC

If they were voluntary

2020-05-23 23:42:38 UTC

Ah yes, I feel like giving my money to a wasteful and inefficient bureaucracy that never ends.

2020-05-24 00:03:38 UTC

Then donโ€™t

2020-05-24 00:03:43 UTC

I just said voluntary

2020-05-24 00:38:53 UTC

But thats the issue isn't it. The application of force is required for taxes. I think a return to the system pre 1900 would work. Tax products. Most of the government's money was derived from the tax on alcohol before income taxes. And we did ok. Not great but we we're capable of building roads and a navy

2020-05-24 01:17:18 UTC

Not if itโ€™s voluntary

2020-05-24 01:17:28 UTC

I donโ€™t agree with a forced tax

2020-05-24 06:08:09 UTC

And on that note a Dan "Taxation is Theft " Behrman staffer enters the chat. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

2020-05-24 06:08:58 UTC

Expected market analytics or something. No... same shit, different chat. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

2020-05-24 22:49:18 UTC

Dividend investing has been working out rather well for me with this Covid shit lol

2020-05-24 23:17:34 UTC

Gotta yolo spy puts then swap to calls the next day. Stay one step ahead of JPOW and his magic printer
