@Deleted User Ezekiel 28 goes into detail on Satanโ€™s creation and job description - Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

@Rick Turpin Thank you so much for pointing out the Scripture! Don't know how I missed that one! God bless you! ๐Ÿ™

@Deleted User I thank God for your kind words. We all have a part to play, the same spirit working within each of us to edify his church. Where one lacks another will provide and vice versa. Hopefully I can be of more use to you all as time goes on.

You would have to cross reference Ur in Sumeria to pharaoh Khety IV and see if he turns up - We know Joseph was around (see pic below)

2018-09-06 12:16:19 UTC

Because the chronology is wrong - David Rohls new chronology on wiki

2018-09-06 12:17:32 UTC

what we have a record of from egypt that the jews lived long before the bible happened in Israel in the middle east

2018-09-06 12:19:20 UTC

do not forgett that even Israeli archeologiest tried to fid some trace of Moses in egyt - they did not find anything - so moses did not exist too

2018-09-06 12:19:45 UTC

all Your sources are abses on the bible which is not a historic book

2018-09-06 12:20:42 UTC

The chief archeology and rabbis in Israel donโ€™t acknowledge their own history - as Egyptology is used to date the bible (the chronology is off so nothing fits) -

2018-09-06 12:21:00 UTC

another major point is the argument of DNA which tells U another story - it disproves the bible

Sources?

2018-09-06 12:23:58 UTC

the jews invented their religion - christianity and islam are just fairytales which are based on fairytales trying to prove the fairytale invented by the jews

2018-09-06 14:00:27 UTC

Some folks have blind faith - others want to quell their doubts. Biblical archeology is split and not 50\50 into the traditional view (that its none of it happened or its allegory) and the new chronology that recalibrated the date. Also folks are looking in the wrong place and time periods for the evidence. Example is mount Sinai - look at the traditional site none of it matches up. If you look at the mount of the laws in Saudi Arabia you find an exact match up.

2018-09-06 14:40:49 UTC

no - nothing bad about questioning - but this was not my question

This section is for Jesse Lee Peterson biblical questions if you want to discuss religion please do it in the doctrine section.

2018-09-07 12:10:47 UTC

Here is a slightly different perspective on the biblical question. It doesn't state it as sin but accountability for one's actions.

2018-09-10 21:05:17 UTC

BIBLICAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
*What is a hypocrite?*
โ€œWoe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in peopleโ€™s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
"
Matthew 23:13 NIV

2018-09-10 21:06:08 UTC

2018-09-11 06:45:54 UTC

Hypocrisy is when the Democrats try to blame Trump for colluding with the Russians with no evidence but it's because the only people who were colluding with Russians were the Democrats with the Steele dossier and uranium one.

2018-09-11 06:47:01 UTC

But the Democrats are really bad example because they are basically nihilists who have completely sold out and decided that power for its own sake is the most important thing.

2018-09-11 09:20:00 UTC

@J_G_ I agree to that! ๐Ÿ‘

2018-09-12 20:35:58 UTC

I'll take a stab at the biblical question!

2018-09-12 20:53:00 UTC

The definition of hypocrisy:
*The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense (dictionary.com)*
Synonyms: deceitful, cant, insincere, dishonest, false virtue

In today's society, we often call someone "Two-faced", "Snake-In-The-Grass", or "backstabber". Because most of society is very self-centered, hypocritcal ideology can often appear. This can easily lead someone to sin because it can develop anger, greed, sexual immorality, jealousy, and possessiveness.

A couple of examples of hypocrites are sweet talkers, con-artists, and people who are preachers who don't put God in the center. Hypocrites are of the flesh and can often be found as a Child of the Lie.

There are many quotes in the Bible about hypocrisy, but this one stuck out to me in The Book of Job in the Old Testament :

*But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them. They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
Job 36:13โ€ญ-โ€ฌ14 KJV
*

To summarize my statement: Be not a hypocrite and live a life of Satan for death will dwell in you. But be of TRUTH and live the life of Christ and have the Kingdom everlasting.โคโœ

2018-09-13 17:37:48 UTC

2018-09-14 16:09:40 UTC

Hypocrisy is when you say one thing but do the opposite.

2018-09-15 01:58:30 UTC

Hypocrisy is when you don't practice what you preach

2018-09-15 07:46:25 UTC

Itโ€™s best to keep it simple

2018-09-15 07:46:49 UTC

Hypocrisy is talking the talk without walking the walk.

2018-09-15 07:47:06 UTC

It is the absence of character

2018-09-15 13:27:37 UTC

When I think about this biblically, what comes to mind is the many Christians in the modern day who claim theyโ€™re Christians, and whether or not they go to church every Sunday,
They have โ€œdumbed downโ€ the faith. Their lives are absolutely no different then those without faith; they have a lack of moral character, make poor decisions, feed in to the โ€œliesโ€ of the masses, and often times use those lies to bend Christianity to their will (ex: abortion, gay marriage) these people to me are the epitome of hypocrites in the faith.

BIBLICAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK (9/17 - 9/22):
*Can a job or a career bring peace?*

2018-09-18 17:10:07 UTC

2018-09-18 17:12:50 UTC

Yes. If the job/career is one that is meaningful to the person who does it. Is it just a job to them, or do they feel they love their job, bc it feeds them internally or theyโ€™ve built a family with clients, coworkers etc. giving them a sense of higher purpose beyond the pay

2018-09-18 17:27:27 UTC

No.

2018-09-18 17:29:58 UTC

It seems like any other drug eventual the dopamine isnt there to make you happy for ever. So one would have to keep digging for more money more time at work. Using it to escape your personal problems.

2018-09-18 17:30:13 UTC

feeling good because you got that bonus damn I want bonus now.

2018-09-18 19:47:05 UTC

I donโ€™t think they can.

2018-09-18 19:47:14 UTC

I think they give you the illusion of it.

2018-09-18 19:47:46 UTC

Peace can only come from contentment, and existing within the kingdom of heaven, and existing within God

2018-09-19 01:05:24 UTC

its my money and i want it now!!!

2018-09-19 01:14:55 UTC

I'm not sure about peace.. But all i know is financial burdens really stress people out, i would think it could bring peace to one aspect of your life - overall peace tho? I doubt it.

2018-09-19 01:19:44 UTC

But it could help bring you closer to peace... By lowering your stress level, its almost impossible to attain peace when youre a basket case

2018-09-19 01:20:38 UTC

Answer: No

2018-09-19 01:20:51 UTC

I'll explain later this week ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

2018-09-19 01:46:18 UTC

My answer is a no as well. By focusing on your job or career to give you peace, that is putting the job ahead of God. That is the definition of idolatry.

2018-09-19 01:47:49 UTC

๐Ÿค” I suppose I wasnโ€™t thinking about the question deep enough.

2018-09-19 01:48:18 UTC

I guess Iโ€™m thinking of fulfillment in the job

2018-09-19 01:51:43 UTC

Oh btw, my answer was no before i started rambling. I kno jesse would want a no or yes lol

2018-09-19 12:47:53 UTC

No, I don't think a career can bring peace

2018-09-19 12:49:34 UTC

My answer is yes, if you are about to be kicked out on the street due to lack of funds and God sends you a job.

2018-09-19 13:11:49 UTC

I think it can bc it brings a steady way of life. It might not be completely peaceful since you still have healthy stress but its better than being all over the place IMO

2018-09-20 01:09:38 UTC

I will love to answer the biblical question.

Yes, a job/career brings you peace. A job brings you financial stability which brings financial peace. A career brings mental stability which gives you mental peace. Considering both of those elements are which of you choose and enjoy. Stress is part of life, though situations are part of growing up and dealing with them makes you develop character (one of the previous biblical question), stoic, patience, whichever.

In resume, Yes they bring individual peace. Now we need alot of peace/stability but those two are a highlighted nowadays. Family stability and spiritual stability are other two who alot of people are strifing to achieve but need to do so in order to reach true peace/stability.

2018-09-20 01:10:29 UTC

I would love to go deep into the subject, love the biblical question part of the week. Keep it up ๐Ÿ˜„

2018-09-20 01:31:27 UTC

I love it!! Wonderful contributions and thoughts everyone!! Keep them coming!

2018-09-20 08:33:10 UTC

God sent Trump and Trump sends jobs so jobs are of God.

2018-09-25 15:09:01 UTC

*BIBLICAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK (9/23 - 9/29):*
Do you believe God loves you as you are?

2018-09-25 15:09:06 UTC

2018-09-25 18:33:17 UTC

I think God loves me as I am. I seek truth and integrity, honesty, but above all the patience to be still and to know God.

2018-09-25 19:20:02 UTC

They say that God is Love, and if you hate or have anger then you have no love. And God is also within, but within where? In the body or in the mind? In the heart/soul/gut? Maybe God's love is a sense of Peace knowing that you are living and loving what is right. But maybe God's love is also a stern correction when you are going wrong. So, i say that since God is love, and either you are in his favor or you are being corrected with love as well. If we are not supposed to hate, and if we banish hate then we attain God's nature, then God must be all love, all of the time, so that means that God loves me no matter what. Jesus teaches to forgive your enemies, and if God doesn't also do that he would be a child of the lie himself. So therefore, yes, God loves me the way I am because love is not an emotional feeling and God is not fickle and changing his mind all the time like people with anger who will turn on you in a heartbeat.

2018-09-25 21:08:34 UTC

Yes of course he loves me ๐ŸŒฑ

2018-09-26 19:12:39 UTC

God loves me no matter how I am. He may not love my actions at times, but he always loves me. He is the perfect father. No matter what my child did, I would still love them. I would correct them if they were wrong, but that does not take from the love.

2018-09-26 19:26:15 UTC

I think God loves me as a person, but is always wishing for me to improve as a person. Like a dad who wants their son to be a better person than they were, but on a whole new level

2018-09-26 19:34:30 UTC

God probably doesn't think I meet His standards and if there is love then it is the quiet disappointed love of a parent watching their child do dumb stuff.

2018-10-02 14:01:20 UTC

God loves all people unconditionally because they possess the divine spark of the spirit. But God also loves the good, so it's devastating to God to see his children acting in evil, after gifting them with the ultimate gift of godliness. God loves you but hates evil. Your divine soul is not evil, but the infection of sin has rotted away at the initial gift.

2018-10-02 14:15:24 UTC

One of the biggest lies of modern times is the idea that good and evil are on the same terms. Balance is now constantly preached between the divine forces, be it Confucianism, Buddism, The Force, whatever. It was the cultural precursor to post-modernism, where instead of evil simply being a lack of good, like rust on metal, it started to evolve into a matter of point of view. It was the idea that both forces believed that they were doing their own good. Often it was the idea of committing acts for the "greater good" that drove the politics of the second half of the 20th Century, be it the application of Marxist ideology with Communism, or the liberal movements that were happening in the 70s (which involved just as much Communist Sympathising as now). There is not greater good. There is the good. Greater good is a tool of confusion, because the devil wants his followers to be blind. God is a god of truth. His followers know the good and love the good, because God has made the good known to those who look for it. In many ways this gift is the ultimate act of love; he has given us the keys to virtue and happiness so long as we accept the gift. The condition in a sense is that the gift requires that we accept it, because God is loving enough to let people follow their own carnal desires should they not accept it.

2018-10-02 14:15:44 UTC

I've been needing to vent for a while, hope you guys don't mind.
