My take: when you sin you are influenced by the nature of evil, therefore you are no longer in control but under the oppression of sin. It just so happens that most people who experience this are completely UNAWARE and blind to their enslavement, this is why we call salvation waking up or being born again, when you abandon that nature and return to god you can finally, truly live... free.

2018-08-24 00:25:13 UTC

it could mean sin is deeply embedded with sin

2018-08-24 00:25:14 UTC
2018-08-24 00:25:32 UTC

Are you really Free?
You can think what you want, say what you want and do what you want. We live in a free country. You decide everything yourself. Until you see a new pair of shoes in the store that you just have to have. Or your classmate says something very stupid, you just have to give a sarcastic answer to that. Or if an attractive person passes by on the beach and you have to take a look. Actually, you do not control your choices at all.
You are a slave to sin.
@JesseLee

2018-08-24 00:26:10 UTC

@Maester I think you and I have the same take on it

2018-08-24 00:26:12 UTC

he who sins could have a foundation of sin built in him

2018-08-24 00:26:18 UTC

Right on ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿ’ช

2018-08-24 00:26:30 UTC

<:AMAZIN:466846070736158750> right on

2018-08-24 00:27:30 UTC

Idk what does that mean? Slave to sin?

2018-08-24 00:29:29 UTC

it means their foundation of beleif is ultimately influenced by sin ๐Ÿ˜›

2018-08-24 00:29:49 UTC

First of letโ€™s think

2018-08-24 00:29:55 UTC

What is a slave

2018-08-24 00:30:00 UTC

Or enslavement

2018-08-24 00:30:08 UTC

one who does work for another without pay

2018-08-24 00:30:34 UTC

against will

2018-08-24 00:30:44 UTC

if willing hten work for free all day

2018-08-24 00:31:06 UTC

Forceful containment, control, or manipulation against someoneโ€™s will, typically without their ability to reject or escape

2018-08-24 00:31:17 UTC

Yes satire

2018-08-24 00:31:20 UTC

Pretty much

2018-08-24 00:32:00 UTC

so a person who is slave to sin is inescapable of sin

2018-08-24 00:32:11 UTC

When you sin, wether you realize it or not you are under the influence and control of a nature that is not your own. You would be enslaved by sin aka evil

2018-08-24 00:32:11 UTC

does one sin make a person slave to sin?

2018-08-24 00:32:28 UTC

Re read my first answer

2018-08-24 00:32:40 UTC

You can break free of sin of course. Lol

2018-08-24 00:32:51 UTC

Just like a slave can break free from their master

2018-08-24 00:33:03 UTC

so the ultimately he who sins does not know sin

2018-08-24 00:33:03 UTC

And yes one sin means you are enslaved by it.

2018-08-24 00:33:30 UTC

It necessarily, as I stated in my original answer most people are unaware or their servitude to sin. But some arenโ€™t

2018-08-24 00:33:32 UTC

if one understood sin he would not sin

2018-08-24 00:33:39 UTC

Not necessarily*

2018-08-24 00:33:56 UTC

Not always.

2018-08-24 00:34:11 UTC

There are people who know theyโ€™re sinning and continue to sin.

2018-08-24 00:34:16 UTC

if they not know they wouldnt?

2018-08-24 00:34:28 UTC

for they know not what they do

2018-08-24 00:34:29 UTC

There are people who understand it completely yet are in denial

2018-08-24 00:35:01 UTC

Technically they do not know, theyโ€™re just swelled with intellect to be fooled into their servitude. Thus they are slaves

2018-08-24 00:35:04 UTC

2018-08-24 00:35:08 UTC

2018-08-24 00:35:27 UTC

MORE ANSWERS FOLKS!

2018-08-24 00:42:42 UTC

i think it means something like this, once we taste sin we are prone to like it (temptation by the devil) and alot of the times makes us feel empowered/good making it easy for us to fall in it again. So basically everyone who sins are most likely chained to the sin that they are commiting elsewere they notice how bad they are doing it (saying people they are doing wrong most of the time ends up bad , they are the only ones that can really change themselves and notice they are doing wrong). Sin is a chain to whoever does it, and only the one who is sinning is the one who can break those chains.

2018-08-24 00:43:19 UTC

quite a long answer but good answer

2018-08-24 00:43:26 UTC

sorry for my bad semantic

2018-08-24 00:43:30 UTC

my bad englando

2018-08-24 00:45:06 UTC

if i would resume it it would be something like this

2018-08-24 00:48:51 UTC

Sin is a bait for the devil to win followers/power. So anyone whos in sin is basically chained by the devil and only that person can crush the chains by realizing he is doing wrong and stop doing whatever he is doing

2018-08-24 00:49:17 UTC

vague but i hope i somehow explained my point xD

2018-08-24 00:49:36 UTC

usually when a person sins its because they weigh personal gains. and thats the game of sin

2018-08-24 00:50:03 UTC

yep its bait

2018-08-24 00:50:04 UTC

sin is basically anything that we humans love in a extreme version

2018-08-24 00:50:20 UTC

it can be

2018-08-24 00:50:21 UTC

lust - extreme love

2018-08-24 00:50:25 UTC

idk about that

2018-08-24 00:50:30 UTC

lust is lust xD

2018-08-24 00:50:54 UTC

i dont know if im explaining myself

2018-08-24 00:51:45 UTC

i get wat ur saying

2018-08-24 00:51:55 UTC

things at extreme can be very damaging

2018-08-24 00:52:11 UTC

even love in some cases i guess

2018-08-24 00:52:23 UTC

but id think true love isnt anywhere near sin

2018-08-24 00:53:00 UTC

never said that

2018-08-24 01:01:15 UTC

@Sky well said my man. ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ˜Ž

2018-08-24 01:01:49 UTC

Your English is on point donโ€™t worry bro

2018-08-24 05:35:58 UTC

โ€œAll who sin are slaves to sinโ€ means: the fact that you commit a sin brings to light that you are obeying a master who rules over you. He is the master of sin, every sin you commit is the result of an order he gives. Because you are not free but are his property, you are forced to execute his command to sin. Sinning is not a choice of yours, but the execution of your masters will. The fact that we recognize in ourselves that sinning is not something we really want to do, is also evidence of a knowledge that we were formerly living and acting out differently. We were executing righteous and good acts on command . We have in truth been initially created to live an existence that only lives out good and righteous and pleasing acts. The only way to come out of this fallen state is, when our initial master steps in, pays for our release and thus owns us again. We were never intended to be our own masters. We

2018-08-24 09:10:25 UTC

sin is sin ๐Ÿ˜›

2018-08-24 12:56:13 UTC

@everyone :This is how I see sin, it's reactions, and what we must do:
"All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death. We know that Godโ€™s children do not make a practice of sinning, for Godโ€™s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. Dear children, keep away from anything that might take Godโ€™s place in your hearts.
1 John 5:17โ€ญ-โ€ฌ21 NLT
"
Sin happens when we allow the evil one to take residency in our hearts over God. When we sin against one another, God gives us time to make it right (ex: FORGIVENESS). But sin that causes mortality to our bodies [with the indwelling Holy Spirit] are the greatest of sins that could cause death. Ex: Fornication = STIs and autoimmune diseases. Murder = the death penalty, revenge, etc.
Remember, Satan prowls this Earth constantly. He is trying to make this place his domain when it is God's. That is why it is a constant spiritual battle on this plain and we cannot let him win. We must sanctify ourselves with the Lord every second of the day.

Jesse. Can and may Christianity be mascular and if so can this be expressed to stop suppresion from other releigions or the politics?

2018-09-04 19:58:00 UTC

@PastPresentFuture I didn't think my answer belonged in #<#467164315598979072> because it was answering a question. I firmly believe that when I answer the biblical question, I back it up with a verse.

2018-09-04 19:59:53 UTC

BIBLICAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK (Sept 3-7):
*Why do women believe they do not sin?*

2018-09-04 20:24:08 UTC

My answer (slightly long - reference Genesis 2-3):
This has happened in the beginning of time - starting with Eve.
Eve was made from the rib of man. Ribs are meant to protect the heart therefore she becomes it. Because she is more emotional than logical, Eve was more susceptible to sin. Satan puts more than just a lie in her head; the result of her sin makes her angry that God 'deceived' her about the 'fruit' and her wanting to be 'head' over her husband, Adam. Adam didn't correct her because she became a Child of the Lie and thus deceived Adam; he became weak and turned away from God. The spiritual order flipped around.

Women believe they can do no wrong because they were taught that from Satan. It is the same exact reason a woman fights to win an argument with a man with yelling and screaming. A weak man eventually gets exhausted and gives in, which flips the spiritual order of this.

"Happy wife, happy life."

Nice Sasha

2018-09-05 00:24:08 UTC

I think youโ€™re onto something there

2018-09-05 00:24:43 UTC

I think itโ€™s the nature of the woman to be competitive and challenge what is above them. (When theyโ€™re in the fallen state)

2018-09-05 00:28:15 UTC

@PastPresentFuture That's exactly what I thought. Woman came second so it is 'natural' to want to dominate over man. Think about it this way, too: Satan is second best and tried to take over God's place by the same ploys....

2018-09-05 00:29:06 UTC

Hmmm ๐Ÿค”
Makes me wonder if Satan is actually a salty female. ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ˜†

2018-09-05 00:29:25 UTC

This is why Jesse is correct when he says men represent Christ on earth

2018-09-05 00:29:52 UTC

Satan is often depicted as a humanoid with a goat head and female breasts

2018-09-05 00:30:22 UTC

That explains it! LoLz XD

2018-09-05 00:30:38 UTC

When a woman returns to god, (the spiritual order) she is no longer of her father the devil.

2018-09-05 00:30:59 UTC

Thatโ€™s why women need a man to lead them to god.

2018-09-05 00:32:10 UTC

But woman came from man which is of God. Woman came from the rib of man and thus lack logic which makes her susceptible of the devil's ways.

2018-09-05 00:32:30 UTC

This was a really good question this week!

2018-09-05 00:32:48 UTC

I agree with you, @PastPresentFuture

2018-09-05 00:36:28 UTC

It was an amazing question

2018-09-05 00:36:34 UTC

Satan was created by god

2018-09-05 00:36:42 UTC

Just as woman was created by god

2018-09-05 00:37:09 UTC

@JesseLee @Hake BIBLICAL QUESTION ANSWER!!! check it out

2018-09-05 00:38:37 UTC

Please pardon my correction, @PastPresentFuture but the Bible does not explicitly tell us how Satan was made.

2018-09-05 00:40:03 UTC

But then again, let me go back and research that.
