Hypocrisy is when you say one thing but do the opposite.

2018-09-15 01:58:30 UTC

Hypocrisy is when you don't practice what you preach

2018-09-15 07:46:25 UTC

It’s best to keep it simple

2018-09-15 07:46:49 UTC

Hypocrisy is talking the talk without walking the walk.

2018-09-15 07:47:06 UTC

It is the absence of character

2018-09-15 13:27:37 UTC

When I think about this biblically, what comes to mind is the many Christians in the modern day who claim they’re Christians, and whether or not they go to church every Sunday,
They have “dumbed down” the faith. Their lives are absolutely no different then those without faith; they have a lack of moral character, make poor decisions, feed in to the “lies” of the masses, and often times use those lies to bend Christianity to their will (ex: abortion, gay marriage) these people to me are the epitome of hypocrites in the faith.

BIBLICAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK (9/17 - 9/22):
*Can a job or a career bring peace?*

2018-09-18 17:10:07 UTC

2018-09-18 17:12:50 UTC

Yes. If the job/career is one that is meaningful to the person who does it. Is it just a job to them, or do they feel they love their job, bc it feeds them internally or they’ve built a family with clients, coworkers etc. giving them a sense of higher purpose beyond the pay

2018-09-18 17:27:27 UTC

No.

2018-09-18 17:29:58 UTC

It seems like any other drug eventual the dopamine isnt there to make you happy for ever. So one would have to keep digging for more money more time at work. Using it to escape your personal problems.

2018-09-18 17:30:13 UTC

feeling good because you got that bonus damn I want bonus now.

2018-09-18 19:47:05 UTC

I don’t think they can.

2018-09-18 19:47:14 UTC

I think they give you the illusion of it.

2018-09-18 19:47:46 UTC

Peace can only come from contentment, and existing within the kingdom of heaven, and existing within God

2018-09-19 01:05:24 UTC

its my money and i want it now!!!

2018-09-19 01:14:55 UTC

I'm not sure about peace.. But all i know is financial burdens really stress people out, i would think it could bring peace to one aspect of your life - overall peace tho? I doubt it.

2018-09-19 01:19:44 UTC

But it could help bring you closer to peace... By lowering your stress level, its almost impossible to attain peace when youre a basket case

2018-09-19 01:20:38 UTC

Answer: No

2018-09-19 01:20:51 UTC

I'll explain later this week 😃

2018-09-19 01:46:18 UTC

My answer is a no as well. By focusing on your job or career to give you peace, that is putting the job ahead of God. That is the definition of idolatry.

2018-09-19 01:47:49 UTC

🤔 I suppose I wasn’t thinking about the question deep enough.

2018-09-19 01:48:18 UTC

I guess I’m thinking of fulfillment in the job

2018-09-19 01:51:43 UTC

Oh btw, my answer was no before i started rambling. I kno jesse would want a no or yes lol

2018-09-19 12:47:53 UTC

No, I don't think a career can bring peace

2018-09-19 12:49:34 UTC

My answer is yes, if you are about to be kicked out on the street due to lack of funds and God sends you a job.

2018-09-19 13:11:49 UTC

I think it can bc it brings a steady way of life. It might not be completely peaceful since you still have healthy stress but its better than being all over the place IMO

2018-09-20 01:09:38 UTC

I will love to answer the biblical question.

Yes, a job/career brings you peace. A job brings you financial stability which brings financial peace. A career brings mental stability which gives you mental peace. Considering both of those elements are which of you choose and enjoy. Stress is part of life, though situations are part of growing up and dealing with them makes you develop character (one of the previous biblical question), stoic, patience, whichever.

In resume, Yes they bring individual peace. Now we need alot of peace/stability but those two are a highlighted nowadays. Family stability and spiritual stability are other two who alot of people are strifing to achieve but need to do so in order to reach true peace/stability.

2018-09-20 01:10:29 UTC

I would love to go deep into the subject, love the biblical question part of the week. Keep it up 😄

2018-09-20 01:31:27 UTC

I love it!! Wonderful contributions and thoughts everyone!! Keep them coming!

2018-09-20 08:33:10 UTC

God sent Trump and Trump sends jobs so jobs are of God.

*BIBLICAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK (9/23 - 9/29):*
Do you believe God loves you as you are?

2018-09-25 15:09:06 UTC

2018-09-25 18:33:17 UTC

I think God loves me as I am. I seek truth and integrity, honesty, but above all the patience to be still and to know God.

2018-09-25 19:20:02 UTC

They say that God is Love, and if you hate or have anger then you have no love. And God is also within, but within where? In the body or in the mind? In the heart/soul/gut? Maybe God's love is a sense of Peace knowing that you are living and loving what is right. But maybe God's love is also a stern correction when you are going wrong. So, i say that since God is love, and either you are in his favor or you are being corrected with love as well. If we are not supposed to hate, and if we banish hate then we attain God's nature, then God must be all love, all of the time, so that means that God loves me no matter what. Jesus teaches to forgive your enemies, and if God doesn't also do that he would be a child of the lie himself. So therefore, yes, God loves me the way I am because love is not an emotional feeling and God is not fickle and changing his mind all the time like people with anger who will turn on you in a heartbeat.

2018-09-25 21:08:34 UTC

Yes of course he loves me 🌱

2018-09-26 19:12:39 UTC

God loves me no matter how I am. He may not love my actions at times, but he always loves me. He is the perfect father. No matter what my child did, I would still love them. I would correct them if they were wrong, but that does not take from the love.

2018-09-26 19:26:15 UTC

I think God loves me as a person, but is always wishing for me to improve as a person. Like a dad who wants their son to be a better person than they were, but on a whole new level

2018-09-26 19:34:30 UTC

God probably doesn't think I meet His standards and if there is love then it is the quiet disappointed love of a parent watching their child do dumb stuff.
