It was like white guy Nikes...just showing off.
Yep. That's where I'm from. Was really bad in the aughts
With Volcom stickers on the back
Everyone thinks they're a moto x champ
It's their establishment of white identity there
lol white guys in raised trucks, flat billed hats over their ears and Oakley's on
Yikes, yeah
I just want something that's durable, reliable, can handle just about everything reasonable with like a 3 inch lift, yet looks respectable.
As time went on, white identity in CA started looking more and more Mexican. Most of the white style in CA is a reaction to Mexican machismo
You can have machismo at 5'2"?
@Papa Pizzagate What did you have in mind, though. Everybody has a vehicle in mind at least. Charokee? Ford?
Big fan of like really moderate builds that are utilitarian and not excessive.
wait
people still use cars?
Hell yeah, best kind
people still *own* cars?
Utilitarian, not excessive
i just bus or uber everywhere ๐
the grey man bad ass vehicle
@YourFundamentalTheorum Same ๐๐ป
@YourFundamentalTheorum You in the city? Or college?
city
When I was looking around at 4x4 vehicles, the one I liked the look of most when lifted was the Ford Explorer SportTrac for some reason.
born n raised in le city
i can't imagine how people live in the country
>cities
Northern or Southern?
North
Country people are the best people. Change my mind.
I HATE cities.
Can't cause it's true
City people are the interesting people. Change my mind.
City people brag about traveling and meeting country people, though
well
there are more interesting people int he city
than in the country
City people are elitist pricks from my experience. (I'm suburban raised to be fair)
What is "interesting" to you though?
country people are closed-minded
from my exp
There are city people that are awesome, but they're rare.
yeah, and they are the only ones that saved us from Hillary...
Open mind = gutter that let's anything in
need a filter
well you can't filter everything out
my parents tried living in the country
they were driven out
people would put "go back communists" signs on their car
Honestly a dream would be like the last year of the LX470 with a 2-3 inch lift, classy front end, winch, rock sliders, low roof rack and maybe a snorkle if it doesn't look like shit @Flint
Tfw extremely high openness on big 5 test. Profile of a liberal. You guys ever taken that?
@Ald link
@Papa Pizzagate That's going to be a pretty penny, lol
with all that stuff
a project vehicle, yeah?
Well sure, but you can get an absolute shitbox of a 470 for less than 7 gs
The lift kit for a SportTrac was like $12k with wheels/tires.
There are many but https://www.truity.com/view/tests/big-five-personality
Right wing city people are super fun
actually a shitbox for less than 5
Living out in the middle of nowhere is hard, though, you kind of have to be raised there to like it. I tried and I missed the energy and liveliness of the 'city' (after forgetting about the poz)
@Flint what do you mean by "super fun"?
I add super in front of words, like "very fun", "a blast", I enjoy them highly
Right wingers with the energy of a city life are fun to be around
Cities would be super fun if they weren't leftist
@Flint see, I think it's a problem of personality types
cities tend to attract extraverts
which are just NPC's most of the time
and voila
They would be centers of industrial might if they weren't overrun by diversity
Yeah, cities are a real double edge sword
extraverts ruined this ocuntry tbh
Introverts should be disenfranchised.
Just for fun.
I'm the jerk that wants to live an hour outside of a city near the boonies--but not in the boonies lol
@YourFundamentalTheorum if you've lived your entire life in a city, and never experienced the country you are **objectively** missing out.
If you've lived your entire life in the country and never experienced city life you are **probably** missing out, depending on the city.
And because they can't stop it
Rural life is so free though
But the woods behind your house might scare you
@Flint but you can't walk a block to the store
which is sad
William Poole, I've been sharing that big 5 personality test around. From whom did you get it?
@YourFundamentalTheorum I rode a bike and walked everywhere for a few years, I've had my fill lol
I do love the quiet at night out on the land away from city noise and cars. Hate hearing cars outside my window now, even in whatโs supposed to be a suburb.
It's a very good test to consider when considering dating.
@Papa Pizzagate lel, i might try that. When i've went camping a couple of times, it kinda sucked not to be able to just go outside and go to the store
that's open 24 hours
Yes, it's very lonesome when you can't go down the street to Wawa and get a hoagie at 3 in the morning.
@DeusVolk how do you even get rural quests? It is so much easier to start quest lines in a city.
Dat Democrat, though...
@Ald Where did you see the 'profile of a liberal' part
High openness, low conscientiousness, high extroversion, moderate agreeableness, high neuroticism
Yes, that.
Low conscientiousness is a bit scary.
Right wingers tend lower in openness, high in conscientiousness, and way lower in neuroticism
Personality tests big gay
Rural is hard bc no jobs
@missliterallywho unless it's mbti
Big 5 seems like a well substantiated psychometric though
