An act of war with who
An invading force?
@Lummeke#4500
didnt mexico already offer them asylum?
theyre no longer fleeing from danger
theyre economic migrants at this point
Why would it be an act of war to shoot people who cross illegally many nations have done this for decades.
And Mexico did offer them the opportunity to stay in Mexico so yeah they're not fleeing from danger, and I don't think they were from the get go. More like after the Bandits looted their home nations they took all the stuff and decided to migrate. The Caravan isn't exactly peaceful
Honestly I was just cane here to see how dumb you are all. But after looking around for a minute you converted me to be even more of a leftist
Fuck all of you
@Deleted User not a act of war sorry, but a act of aggression
arrest them and deport them back if you want, I fully support that. Killing them or wounding them? a violation of human rights
btw good one bolsonaro
Define 'works'
where the lives of people have improved.
this example is usually neglected, but it's sad how many people know it.
Ahh ok. I agree, there are people who's lives improve because of socialism.
yes and a lot
But unfortunately, millions of people die and suffer as well
a lot of people don't know other socialist states other than the SU as well
there was one where I would personally go there and live there
(if it still lived)
Where is that
Where was it
revolutionary catalonia
it was anarcho-syndicalist/anarcho-communist but still
even George Orwell wrote about it.
Ya. I think as an American, we don't focus too much on what's working where and when. We focus internally
Well, America isn't the whole world
Like for instance, other countries pay attention to our elections, and the average American had no idea what's going on elsewhere
true
i suggest you read up more on revolutionary catalonia on how socialism worked
it was short lived because the facsists crushed them
It's hardly much of the world at all. Just 300 million? Compared to 7 billion. That's 4%
true.
but America is the big dog
It's got a good business model that other countries want to copy. But as the big dog you have to keep your place by coercing other countries by force
It's inevitable, no matter who is on top
America will give way naturally
If I was born in some other country, I'd have all sorts of issues with America and what they do to other countries
the East will overtake the West.
Oh yeah, but they will try to stay on top for as long as possible
just as the Mongols and the Romans and the British gave way.
Yeah, being on top is what makes you weak. No reason to strive
@raqdog not gone be pretty when China or India is almost on par with them
wonder what the Union would do to preserve its place
Nope, they are coming. The cultures are so different. Kids in American elementary schools test somewhere around 25th or worse in math
Compared to other 1st world countries
But they score #1 in their confidence to do math
In China it's the exact opposite. They test much higher in ability to do math, and Lower in confidence
America is in it's dumbing down phase. We've got a very toxic and coddled culture.
if you look at individual states you'll notice it can get way more competitive. Places like california are skewing it a lot. Still needs to be fixed after so many years of neglect by democrats.
Gen Z is showing some hope, too. thankfully.
the youth is the future, as always
The youth is Hispanic which has a very different outlook on education
lol
Democracy is the will of the people
If the people willingly choose a dictator
That is democracy
so people collectively deciding on imposing nuclear suicide on the human race is equally democratic then
That is an absurd scenario, but yes.
If democracy is pure then whatever wins, wins.
It isn't like the people of Brazil don't know who Bolsonaro is
It is why they voted for him
democracy in your context could not care about outcomes.
again with the contextual example I used
That is democracy in any context.
It is what the definition is
The will of the people
the will of the people does not account for outcomes lol
but obviously, we have some ounce of rationality in our society even with uneducateds in it, so that isn't happening
That isn't democracy then
Democracy includes the uneducated
Pure democracy is dangerous, right? Why not let the smartest people in a Gaussian distribution make the decisions.
2 standard deviations above the rest only
IQ doesn't inherently make people decent human beings
That's dangerous too, but a better alternative
No, it doesn't. But you don't want the decision makers to be too morally inflated.
I dunno where to find a balance. Probably the way the US does it, we have a good balance of cold hard truth and coddling ourselves like infants
The US is far from a democracy
I never said it was
They do a good job balancing the duality though. Seems like the power shifts every election cycle between what's expediently moral, and hard truths that need to be discussed in order to get desired outcomes in the long run
The courts are more powerful than any other branch
And not much gets done
I don't think they are that powerful. Not unless you listen to the recent far left media portrayals. Ben Sasse from Nebraska does a good job summing up why it seems that way
He spoke a bit during the kavanagh ford inquiry
The courts can block anything they want
Individual federal judges can block executive orders
Whoever controls scotus controls everything
And legislative laws can be vetoed
It's all as designed. Nothing has changed
Progress should be slow and arduous. The best way to keep people happy. Is no one should get 100% their way
Fastest way to corruption and the rule of money
Executive orders should be constrained though
Corruption occurs in any hierarchy. And hierarchies are inevitable no matter how the cards are dealt
Well, socialism is the purest form of democracy to an extent
because the people collectively make the decisions, unlike in businesses today where workplace democracy isn't that much widespread or influential anyway
Yeah, but the default human condition isn't to necessarily want to be educated and knowledgeable about how to effectively participate in a democracy. Some people just content being dumb. If anything that's a preferable form of existence. When I see ads telling people to go out and blindly vote, I always smh
If you need to be told and guilted to go out and vote, I don't think you've spent enough time mulling over the information needed to make a sound decision.
socialism is not the 'purest democracy'. referendums are 'pure democracy', socialism doesn't have to be involved. That said, pure democracies generally are fucking terrible just like socialism.
Letting people on the higher end of the scale make all the choices leads back to the Nobility issue WW1 had.
Just because you're smart doesn't mean you have the best interest of the people at hand.
And when you're too much of an ideologue without skills you end up creating a nightmare for the people.
From what I've seen when you've got the resources and intellect to do so, you just outsource and pack your bags for another domino which isn't falling yet.
It's not as if there aren't alliances and coalitions to keep the moved resources intact after all.
smart really does not have much impact on the "Ethics" or being a man of the people. Like Killary is smart.... and that's what enables her to get so wicked so many times with good ol' Bill. They are not dumb people, which is what makes them dangerous.
A lot of socialist leaders were very intelligent, this is how they used socialism as a tool to mass produce useful idiots which they would eventually also shoot down.
it also naturally builds ego, which is cancer in the end. Anointed, narcissistic people who "DESERVE" to be at the top. Very few successful leaders in history have dictated themselves like that. Like Genghis Khan did not give a fuck about his background and culture, the guy just wanted to expand the empire.
Sup pedes
builds ego? lol
and socialism was terrible? I disagree with that.
What manner of base primate are you? Answer below
When has socialism ever worked? @Leiro ใฌใคใญ
Errr, accomplished the end goal where it creates a utopia?
Socialism is evil, one reason being infringement of individual rights. I believe terrible suits the ideology quite well.
Capitalism is goat. Convince me otherwise.
END BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP
It for sure needs to be looked at and possibly adjusted, due to people immigrating illegally and having kids here. Damn loopholes every time.
?jrcent
No changes were made.
<@&363416030254465024> who can I speak to about partnerships?
BETO O'KEEFED
@Egoy @๐ฆ3-๐๐ฏ๐ ๐ฅ Revolutionary Catalonia
and the Soviet Union
under socialism your human rights would be respected all and well, under capitalism you are voluntarily getting exploited and your serving the interests of the bourgeois, dosent seem to be very righteous to me
anyone here?
Riiiiiiight
Not sure if trolling or actually serious
what trolling?
how can one feel liberated to be a wage labourer?
@Leiro ใฌใคใญ I dont have to accept the job and can find a job that pays well if im educated in the field. How is being forced to work without a choice - with no say in your pay better? Where do you live? @Leiro ใฌใคใญ
Where is your communist utopia?
Ben Shapiro has really good points regarding capitalism/communism. Cba to regurgitate, you may want to check out some videos unless you're not open to differing views, which I assume isn't the case since you're here.
I'm not a communist, you have to work if you are able to, if not society has no obligation to you, you wild actually get paid better under socialism imo, without the bourgeois extracting surplus value from the workers
and please, Ben shapiro? their borderline educated about socialism at best,
and yes, I'm open to other views, I used to be rightist who turned leftist lol
the capitalist system would run itself dry due to its contradictions
They're most likely more educated than you, judging from your grammar. At least give it a watch in all seriousness.
I didn't enable auto correct on my tablet, so I'm lazy to correct it
There would be no autocorrect without capitalism i bet.....
I watched them, needless to say not a big fan on capitalism being "consensual sex" or socialism being "rape"
lol, touchscreens and GPS were all developed by state fused endeavours
funded*
so no iPhone for you if it wasn't for state money
and capitalism will run dry anyway
Oh really? And what government funded this? A communist one right?
both the US and the Soviets poured money into the military to develop such endeavours
and communism can only be achieved after socialism, there has never been a communist government anywhere, there has only existed socialist governments
Where is the Soviet union now?
dissolved undemocratically
you seem to have the common misconceptions about socialism and communism, spill out your questions, I will gladly answer that for you
Was just trying to rustle some jimmies. Shapiro usually gets you guys going
We can agree to disagree, maybe we can continue this later? Disagree about more stuff? At work rn
not really, I'm not a commie, but Ben shapiro and Jordan Peterson are memed quite frequently
but yea we can have this later in dms
They are memed? In what way? In a way that degrades their point of views?
If socialism is the precursor to communism, why do you support it? @Leiro ใฌใคใญ
think it creates a better society or an easier controlled one?
better society
it's not about control.
capitalism will eventually run itself dry, it's inevitable that socialism will come
Did you read that on a blog or something? Post source
We've run dry before, and we didnt all turn into socialists... Looks like the dems have been pushing faaar left here lately though, many people think it'll work. History says no
Can we get this place poppin like it used to be?
I bet we could
if the owner decided to
By 'work' I mean this utopia most people like @Leiro ใฌใคใญ seem to profess.
@Leiro ใฌใคใญ Don't lie, are you canadian? You never did say where you were from friend..... Just guessing lol
@๐ฆ3-๐๐ฏ๐ ๐ฅ capitalism will run its dry due to its contradictions, the two of which being the TRPF and automation under capitalism.
I'm not Canadian, socialism never claimed to be utopic, we are working towards this utopia, called "post-scarcity" in Marxian terms
What does a person have to do to get img perms here?

how has nobody noticed the spam lol
Blue wave....
Republicans encompass center, slightly left of center and anything right of center. And if someone in any of those categories doesn't agree, they don't understand themselves deeply enough, and don't realize they likely fall left to far left, and are in a dwindling group that's eating itself.
Trumps approval rating has only improved since the 2016 election. And tribalism has increased. So people are likely going to vote all red or blue. So id predict that people are basically voting trump again, regardless of what candidates have said or done, they will simply check the boxes of their tribal group, more so than we've ever experienced in history. Polls that are predicting a blue wave are repeating the same polling errors that occurred during 2016
Fox News reports 60% negativity about trump and 40% positivity. And they are called a bias unreliable news source, when CNN, MSNBC and any other left leaning new source is +90% negativity. Anyone who's really paying attention to this stuff realizes after 2 years of this bullshit that it cannot be all doom and gloom. How can anyone swallow all that tripe and not be curious to seek out their own answers outside of the narrow minded media box
The only difference between now and the 2016 election is that more people have had time to wake up and take the red pill. I've never heard of anyone taking the blue pill, or it is extremely rare or possibly they have other motives behind saying they have taken a blue pill. But that's just not how we progress through life. We only wake up and realize why conservative values are genuine and liberal ones are dangerous and fake.
We transition from an infants to adulthood. We were all probably somewhat on board with liberal values at a much younger age. Then we come to understand we've been infantilized by the those values. And the best thing to do as an adult is stand up and challenge yourself and take some responsibility for yourself
Don't be a victim, you willingly choose to be a victim. Nobody can victimize you but yourself
Acting like an infant is useful. If you are an infant. Those privileges use to be removed after the first few years of life. Now, with state assistance, you can stay that way perpetually
Yea I used to be a Democrat especially since my state is mega blue, but the last few years I've realized how bad they are and I've taken the Republican Conservative side.
is this a good discord or is this niggerlovers
pls dont be a bunch of boomer republicans jew lovers
Whos ready for the results for the midterms?
Should be enlightening either way it goes
If the dems gain the house it just means the media did their job of keeping people in hysteria over trump.
Although it does take a lot of will power to consciously refuse their narrative if you are engrossed in it
god
Really hoping meme magic will prevail and we will have the majority in both
Maybe, I don't think leftist understand memes though
I voted red. Thats all that matters. I can die in peace
wait no, you gotta stay around for 2020
the damn democrats got the house
are you sure its early enough to be sure?
tbh just at the moment we aren't doing bad with the definite info we have, with a 19 point lead, only got half of all the stuff in though
won/lost isn't good though
We're winnin
