Yeah what Beemann said.
ifk about rads though
You can also boil water to extract salt.
From the ocean.
i dont know of a real world way
Put some panel above steam and let the water drip down into a tray.
im mean getting rid of rads
You will get purified water from ocean with added bonus of some salt.
As for Rads... you need filters.
Filter out the minerals.
ideally try to find unaffected areas
If you plan on surviving nuclear fallout, a good idea is to learn how to calculate the fallout radius depending wind, pressure, etc, etc...
Remember fallout always moves to the east thanks to the rotation of earth and wind currents.
and establish supply caches or something if your planning to stay in an area and travel back and forth
I do not want to survive a nuclear fallout.
Yeah apparently you can filter water through earth and clay
cool
Put me in the blast zone fam
You can also use carbon for iodine 131
just end it lel
I would survive, find a place free of radiation, develop a homestead for the people who followed me.
Rebuild a community where we can work together.
same
Get the plants running again.... start a farmland.
I remember it being talked about on a FO3 LP lol
true anarcho-communism kek
If you want to start a farmland, you have to remove the top soil from the area.
Bag that soil and depose of it.
My friends would become and An-Cap settlement cause we'd probs be merchants
You don't have to go pretty far down, that is what they do during a nuclear reactor meltdown.
Remove the top soil, bag it, and get rid of it.
Where they were just like "we're going through all this trouble but you can filter most of the radioactive shit out of water with dirt, and that's everywhere"
shits everywhere lel
I researched ways to decontaminant areas.
amazing
fucking amazing
glorious
rofl
"1,763 have signed. Letโs get to 2,500!"
This is making me wonder what FO3 would look like if the writers actually have a shit and were listened to
Or even just if Obsidian handled it
#1. Clear the top soil of the farmland you want to use. Bag it and get rid of it.
#2. You filter the water from irrigations. Store the water in underground area.
#3. Look for seeds that have been kept from nuclear fallout radiation. Store seeds you get or barter for underground.
#4. Create a Greenhouse over your farm land to keep any radioactive rain from seeping into soil. Bag and get rid of soil around greenhouse when it is time.
#5. Plant the seeds during the season, keep vigilant eye on your crops. Once harvest comes, get the crops and store them underground.
Most of your resources and stuff need to be stored underground to keep them from becoming radioactive.
The greenhouse must be lined with lead with only the roof having glass.
You can use lead base paint to protect your homes and community if you want.
Just make sure you use a clear coating over the lead base paint so no one is poisoned by it.
God, if it was the end of the world, Iโd just be a anarcho-primitive. I have a lot of skills to survive on my own due to how often I hunt and camp. Not to mention I have a lot of training making primitive tools and weapons. Probably just come out of the woods once a year, trade, and just fuck off.
>anprim
I'd rather have medicine tbh
I am going to make a list of things.
But will this list of all things contain itself?
Lol, donโt really need that due to an immune disorder I have. Itโs really hard for me to get sick but my life is on a dice roll till Iโm thirty. If my body starts producing a certain protein, Iโll probably die due to renal failure
oof
Yep, tfw your body doesnโt understand that the protein in bone marrow should only go to your bones
>your body is Opah, giving away proteins
List of items that I will look for during a nuclear fallout.
Let me write up the list real quick.
Make sure is a playboy, donโt want any radioactive puss puss

Kay I'm back
I am making a document.
It will take a bit.
Tell me what you think when I am done.
britain: we're leaving the eu
eu: we're changing our currency to vbucks
britain: fuck let us back in
is that real
wait nvm they wouldn't do that
The EU always does what you least expect them to do
Nooooooo!

also why do we now have pc shit in my animus: https://animeright.news/marshalllee/animegate-crunchyroll-goes-full-calarts/
Crunchyroll =/= anime
Gay western garbage is all that is
better service: https://www.masterani.me/
Actually... they released a reveal on YT.
Guess what they did? They disabled comments and hid the ratings
excuse me?
thats a lame way of saying "im always right and you are always wrong"
when you disable comments like that, mass downvotes happens
I didn't know this until now.
That bitch right there? Kate Leth
I didn't recognize her. She's gotten so fat.
She's the worst.
Her presence says it all. It's all staffed by people who wormed their way in due to ways irrelevant to having skills.
That's the final stage of valuing "networking" in employment.
You let the value of networking continue to uptick, this is what happens.
The worst people are the ones occupying every job of value.
Somehow getting the dumbest shit greenlit.
you can see that there is a lack of talent by looking at the drawings
I almost joined CrunchyRoll around 8 years ago
The drawings in the thumbnail are fine.
Now? I'm glad I didn't.
I've seen Kate Leth ruin my image of multiple companies now.
She gets hired wherever she wants.
It's fucking ludicrous.
Comic by Kate Leth.
She deleted this one from her site.
lol
the drawing in the thumbnail looks vanilla, boring and ugly waist up and like it's been drawn by a five year old waist down.
wheres the joke
There is none
"Huh, maybe somebody in the west will finally make a decent yuri anime (equivalent) this time."
**sees video*
"Well, back to glorious Nippon I guess."
Wait did she make lock and key?
Cause honestly that has me interested in it and I dont read comics at all
You know, I remember that one post on Twitter making fun of Fem frequency
Basically FF complains bout unrealistic expectations of women
But well.. look at the art used to portray the three
Yeah
Some guy was banned from twitter for posting a realistic depiction of them using the same art style
I've gotta find that
...actually, on second thought, I probably shouldn't
The dumbest shit gets greenlit
Locke & Key creative team.
Found it
A controversy around a terrible animated series created and pushed by by people who want to radically remake the industry in the way they want it
Good thing this would never happen to video games
Same happen for games man...
For fucks sake they took some asian faggot who found two men entering a dark tunnel "erotic"
Hes not a gay man, hes a fucking flaming faggot
I dont know anything about the Loke and Key team members, can you give me a tldr?
Woke and key
```Wait did she make lock and key?```
No.
She made the comic of her being a retailer trying to push Lock and Key on a guy who just came in for Justice League
"UGH, STUPID PEON. COMING IN HERE FOR **TRASH.**"
Probably even happened.
Writer, Joe Hill (Joseph Hillstrom King, son of authors Stephen and Tabitha King) likes to write horror & is pretty good at it, Gabriel Rodrรญguez Pรฉrez (a Chilean comic book artist and architect) is the artist & seems to be pretty good at it, Chris Ryall, editor. None of these guys & the comic book comes across as being woke. It is just liked by someone who is woke.
Almost done with building steps for maintaining Water and Food for Community. Lengthy Project that would pay off.
...
What odd capitalizations.
Mark, are you originally from Germany?
Basically I am designing a post fallout plan to build a community that we can live in.
Are you making a survival bunker?
No... a plan to actually found a community and making a sustainable living there.
Locke & Key is pretty good actually
So you're doomsday prepping.
If Trump got ousted right this minute, that'd just make Pence president, right?
Yes, unless something happens
I remember the theory during the election was that Trump picked Pence as VP as an "insurance policy" against people (particularly the left) impeaching him, because Pence is way more conservative than Trump
It's the chappelle joke
First black president makes his vice president mexican.
Kill him, the border opens up.
Something like that, yeah
I'm actually a bit surprised the left didn't think to try and dig up dirt on Pence before Trump
get the "insurance policy" out of the way
He's un-dirtable is the thing.
He doesn't meet women alone for example.
This guy is a machine.
Of course, given my experience with Pence (having grown up in Indiana), he's almost definitely as squeaky clean as a politician comes
That's Pence as far as I can tell.
Didn't Pence touch something at NASA with a "No Touching" sign?
I bet he asked for 2 Scoops of mashed potatoes!!!!
Maybe Pence's body is covered in skulls & bones.
Still, I dont think theres anything to dig dirt up on Pence.
Or newsworthy....
Hell even trump's worse shit includes a supposed pee tape, a comment made 10 years ago
Man, potential career's & actual career of presidents have been killed over petty things that is dwarfed by what trump is getting away with, we know more or less at this point that he probably had an extramarital affair with a porn star that he shoddily paid off to keep silent, but that has almost done jack to him.
it only made him cooler
on one hand "The president had an affair with a porn star!! D:<"
on the other hand "Brah, the president fucked a porn star!! :D"
I can't believe we have to give a shit about infidelity.
So much oxygen has been spent on trespassing on the "sanctity" of marriage
In the country with a ridiculous divorce rate.
What the fuck are we doing
Here is a little sample of what I am working on...
Finding Suitable People for Community:
Step 1: Once Group is Formed, Start Asking People Their Expertise
Step 2: Decide Which People Do Which Jobs Within Group
Step 3: Form Groups To Explore Surrounding Area For Weaponry
Step 4: Search for Older Model Vehicles Without Electronics In Them To Use
Step 5: Siphon Gas from Local Gas Stations and Store Them in Gas Canisters
Step 6: Use Vehicles to Haul Your Supplies in Caravan While Guarded
Step 7: Raid Local Stores, Homes, Hospitals, and Pharmacies for Supplies
Step 8: Stock Up on Gun Powder Found
4 is actually really hard. My car is over 20 years old and is still completely electronic.
I know it is pretty hard.
But it is something that needs to be done.
gasoline has a 1 year expiration date
5 is not much better imo.
womp womp
Electronics become fried and makes car unusable in aftermath of fallout.
This all happens after 2 weeks.
It is mostly done within one year hopefully.
My issue with disaster prep is that people tend to focus on the "do I run or do I sit question"
The biggest factors are things like why there was a nuclear attack in the 1st place.
Because that's going to dictate what kind of aid (or destruction) is going to follow.
Was the attack mutual and the world burning? Or are Chinese tanks rolling down main street passing out MREs and making sure everyone knows they've been conquered?
In that case the real question is if you die fighting or accept your new masters.
Alternatively, if the world is burning, the first real goal is to find somewhere not irriated.
Look at Hurricane Katrina.
Subtract the water.
That's what most of doomsday will look like.
So the thing about Katrina is that *most* people escaped.
How does this make me wrong.
The people who decided to sit got all the press. But most people on the coast know when to run.
From a disaster prep standpoint, it's a very different situation.
Really, for disaster prep, the real questions are things like self sufficiency, a set of supplies that can be deployed essentially anywhere and an understanding of what assets you would have.
And places to go or run in multiple potential scenarios.
Areas that are Irratated is due to the top soil being radiated.
Obviously, if this is Fallout level destruction, you'd pillage and scavenge when possible for supplies.
That can be cleared away overtime, just need to take your time.
It's also in the air though.
Odds are you've got exposure as it is.
The cities remaining would almost certainly fall under martial law.
Personally, I think it makes more sense to memorize the entirety of the Boy Scout Handbook and live in the woods with only a rope, tarp, knife and some canned food than to try and figure out where to find really old cars when you don't even know what kinds of places would be around.
And stockpile essential goods: utility knives, firearms, nonperishable food and water, filter systems and cooking utensils.
The Air itself isn't contaminated, it is the particles and dust that is.
Maybe some general purpose hand tools and a generator too.
That is why we are able to filtrate the air.
OK. But the dust and particles got kicked into the upper atmosphere and are in suspension.
That is why it is best to wait till dust settles first.
filtration only really works if you're in a bunker or something.
If you don't want to wait, use radiation gear.
You gotta do backflips over the particles in the upper atmosphere.
You have radiation gear in your closet?
No... but there will be some in nuclear fallout bunkers.
@Scribblehatch That's the real strat. Just live in space first.
Thus it gives us a chance to prepare.
Explore outside and get a leg up on others.
Alot of those fallout bunkers have their own supplies.
I visit the nuclear fallout shelter during 9/11.
Well what I am saying is the community in the bunker...
Can be the community that I was talking about.
Was this a hardened underground facility or a really rugged building?
I would assume it would be the same community.
I will say that's one big weakness peppers tend to have. You really shouldn't expect to just be able to hold resources on your own. But trust could be difficult.
I am not talking about hoarding resources to the point there is no room to move.
I am working off the knowledge of nuclear cleanup around nuclear reactors and how they do it.
Taking that in mind, restoring the air to somewhat functionality.
Thus giving us a chance to rebuild and create a sustainable resource of food and water.
Fair.
Then using those to trade with neighboring communities.
I've always taken the stance it's better to have a stable sedentary base.
I don't think roving is a sustainable long-term strategy.
I am going to post what I managed to so far.
Step by step guide.
Oh, one big thing I forgot. Telecoms.
Specifically simplex radio.
Of course part of the guide is raiding the local library for books on how to instructions.
People these days assume Cell phones just work. But radio comms are vital for coordination.
Thus giving a point of reference and ability to teach our children.
I know cell phones will not work.
Definitely with the radiation in the upper atmosphere.
So I figured wired communication is best.
I think you could get radios to work.
Simplex atleast.
Actually, I wonder if you could do some kind of signal bounce.
Hand cranky
