Only 23k subs

Because let us consider the perspective of the sjw types, because they have a solution in their own eyes, & it is the one they need to do in their perspective to accomplish some thing.

Don't agree with her 100% but she's alright

2018-09-06 10:47:24 UTC

oh yeah i think ive heard of her, liana k had a small role in the gamergate controversy

2018-09-06 10:56:01 UTC

You guys know the kavanaugh hearings are just a show right ?

2018-09-06 10:56:49 UTC

Dude is already going to get confirmed because repubs have the house

2018-09-06 10:57:01 UTC

Yes

2018-09-06 10:57:38 UTC

I feel like some people thought different like the protestors

2018-09-06 11:03:32 UTC

You know, I am real happy the Americans got the lead out of their petrol despite corporate lobbying.

2018-09-06 11:04:30 UTC

"A common solution" then da Britain

2018-09-06 11:04:58 UTC

if you wanna get that level of specific on what i said 😛

2018-09-06 11:05:48 UTC

What are common solutions?

2018-09-06 11:06:33 UTC

Liana K is a bit weird. Like she's usually pretty rational and then occasionally she just throws a big curveball that you'd never expect from her. Like last time I heard of her she was in favor of Count Dankula's charges.

2018-09-06 11:08:31 UTC

a common solution is one that both sides can be happy with

2018-09-06 11:09:22 UTC

like if Hitler arose, both left and right in america would agree to get rid of him

A common solution 😉

2018-09-06 11:11:06 UTC

As a centrist I believe we should have Hitler in *some* power.

2018-09-06 11:11:51 UTC

That is not a common solution wol, that is a common goal.

2018-09-06 11:11:51 UTC

Portuguese hitler, ruler of a lazy country full of gay people 🤔

2018-09-06 11:12:41 UTC

Stopping Naziism is the goal, killing the iconic fuhrer is the solution

2018-09-06 11:15:08 UTC

Well didn’t you say that a goal is the core of problems?

2018-09-06 11:17:29 UTC

*“a goal is bad, a goal is too vague and can become tainted”*

2018-09-06 11:20:10 UTC

yes, cuz a goal is only an aim

A solution actually has steps to getting there

2018-09-06 11:22:47 UTC

A goal:
End poverty
Achieve social equality
Opportunity for everyone

A common solution:
More jobs than workers, so wages go up
Stop categorising people by an arbitrary criterea
Free market anyone can enter/leave

2018-09-06 11:24:03 UTC

cuz the goal of ending poverty can also have as a solution "Take from the rich and give to the poor (socialism)" but its not much of a solution for the rich who just lose out

2018-09-06 11:24:11 UTC

so its not a solution for both

2018-09-06 11:26:06 UTC

I mean i might phrase it poorly, but you understand what i mean

2018-09-06 11:26:26 UTC

having just a goal, is bad because it can get tainted

2018-09-06 11:29:36 UTC

Then how do implement your solutions you proposed without it way that both sides agree on? Because the socialist solution is one thing & yours is another. You in the end don’t have a solution in common even if you have a goal in common.

2018-09-06 11:30:11 UTC

then its not a common solution

2018-09-06 11:30:23 UTC

Most of the west has a common goal, they just differ on how to achieve it

2018-09-06 11:30:28 UTC

take Healthcare for example

2018-09-06 11:30:37 UTC

the Left wants it paid by the state taxes

2018-09-06 11:30:51 UTC

The Right wants healthcare made cheap by having a highly competative market taht forces prices down to compete

2018-09-06 11:31:18 UTC

But neither side is saying "We must ban healthcare for every individual"

2018-09-06 11:31:28 UTC

"People should die if they get sick"

2018-09-06 11:34:52 UTC

Because at this point there is a problem with the solution even if the goal is fine.

2018-09-06 11:35:12 UTC

thats because both sides have a different solution

2018-09-06 11:48:23 UTC

@Beemann Here you go. I should say Inside Higher Ed is extremely reliable, it's the more tabloid-y of the two main Higher Ed-focused periodicals (the other being The Chronicle of Higher Ed).

It does look like I was confusing it with something else.
