This place seems cool, been looking for a discord like this for a while tbf
People in my area aren't the most political so should be interesting to actually have people to bounce opinions/ideas off
Well just people being around yknow, a community with an interest in that sorta thing
Like I won't say everyone has to be out in the streets picketing, I just think politics is something that by nature affects us all so we gotta understand the systems we're in ig is the way I'd put it
Politicians not understanding is *why* people need to be aware
Lol is this SargonOfAkkad or incels, "women are property"
Yeah, Carl's deffo up there in my fave YouTubers, he can take the piss but he's rational and does his research
I saw the This Week In Stupid today and clicked the link, it took me to his Patreon, I googled it and found this on reddit, so unsure if he just didn't announce it or this isn't the one he was referencing
I'm assuming it is, because if you click the link in the description it links to Patreon reward tier
I have like ridiculously girly hands and it's unreal
Legit that was the swing in me becoming a vocalist and not a guitarist, my guitar teacher laughed at my hand
I cut like four fingers in my first and only guitar lesson but on the bright side I could do the verse of Sweet Home Alabama
I'm a decent singer, just got into uni on a music course (sorry for humblebrag), but I've always wanted to play guitar
Songwrite mainly about philosophy, psychology, politics, that sorta shit
I mainly do songwriting about my personal beliefs and experiences
Like I was a neckbeardy niceguy a few years ago then went into a woe-is-me depressed phase because boohoo nobody likes me even though they're justified and I'm a shithead
So my songwriting's about taking personal responsibility for yourself, self-improvement, fixing problems instead of being a bitch about it
As well as the hypocrisy of most libtard punk singers, because they're all "fuck the establishment, i hate white guys" but also "we need legislation to ensure people of all races and backgrounds are respected"
Hooray for being a massive fucking sellout bitch, woop woop
That moment when I can't be friends with someone because some cavemen who gave me DNA fucked in the wrong place
Was a joke about the "oh you're from here so probs doesnt like you"
Well whatever the other people who exited a vagina from the same country as me think, I hold my own independent views lmao
That moment when my nationality looks like my country
I have the alcohol tolerance of england and the hunger of an irishman
I go to parties and just eat while my friends are downing largers
Then I slam one vodka and next thing you know I'm in my room, have left my shirt at the other guy's house, and people are telling me as a dare I ate half a coathanger
Thanks for the heads up, will consult him for hedge fund investments
I once had a DM turn my 28 year old human wizard into a 12 year old half-elf girl, and then he said it was fine for NPCs to hit on her because she had the brain of an adult
I've never understood that comparison because yes, people are chasing better lives, but there's an official process and these people are circumventing the law. Like, I don't agree with how they're being treated, I just think it's dumb to take the risk. Or maybe I'm looking at it wrong and Mexico is so shitty the camps are worth it, which makes me sad about South America more than anything

Didn't know there was a community discord, just spotted it in a video description
I've been waiting for a Timcast discord tbf, community seems a lot more rational. Joined a Sargon Of Akkad one a few months back and yeesh, community were shitposty to an unnecessary degree. I was looking more for discussion and stuff, yknow?
Generally Tim approaches issues differently to people like Sargon or Shapiro though, I've noticed, Tim seems to address issues more factually and at face value while a lot of other people I've watched laugh at a lot of issues instead of breaking them down. Which, like, I get, because come on, some things are ridiculous, but Tim's approach definitely has him as one of my favourites out there to talk about issues (at the risk of sounding like a kiss-arse)
It's good to have these sorts of communities out there, too. I'm pretty young so a lot of my friends aren't really interested in the big issues, or if they are they argue from emotion and sentiment a lot rather than analysis
By "pretty young" I mean starting university, for clarification, not 13
Thank god performing arts is more audition-based than grade-based
Why drop that in, I don't get it at all, it's brilliantly confusing
It scares me, yknow? My girlfriend lives down Cali way, so every time I hear about stuff like that I'm pretty shook
You think it's just shock value viral-hunting then?
That's why she said once I move to America, we're going somewhere else
