Youtube eats a lot of data
Honestly i would love if youtube had option to play just audio on some of the videos
To spare the phone data limits
But apparently they like it as it is

so they lower download streams of, as admitted here, mostly video services, followed by audio services... which would tell me that if each packet for a video is larger than all the other traffic around it, then they will slow the speed it downloads to so that the actual amount of info downloaded over that same time period is about the same for non-video apps
this is like the wage gap of tech
