if you ever had a capped data limit, you know you the amount of data downloaded from a video eats up your data 100 times faster than just using discord for that same amount of time.

so they lower download streams of, as admitted here, mostly video services, followed by audio services... which would tell me that if each packet for a video is larger than all the other traffic around it, then they will slow the speed it downloads to so that the actual amount of info downloaded over that same time period is about the same for non-video apps
