I didn't enjoy something like Star Trek: The Next Generation because it was diverse, it just happened to BE diverse, and a good show, and the variety of actors was employed well as a stylistic choice

Just as it can be a good stylistic choice to only have Polish people depicted in the world of The Witcher

well all fiction has to draw on existing reality, how people view the world. So, doing things a particular way shapes how the story is viewed a particular way. Changing the view requies changing the story and whether that will make the story better ....or worse....is the question. It's a lot easier to fuck something good up though than to make something already good even better.

Well that's what people don't seem to realize, particularly in this casting changes. Oh it's not a signicant deal, it won't change anything, etc. Well....it does change things and because you can't see that you fail to adequate alter the story to accomodate those changes.
