Give them the tools to become better citizen, but at the same them make the criminal path less inviting and less rewarding.
I'd garnish wages.
Theoretically the idea would be to focus on rehabilitating non violent criminals to start with
So people are pissed at trump for selling arms to saudi Arabia?
why?
we've done that hundreds of times
they didn't bitch then
Ever
So crime does pay. Free rehabilitation.
Because a journalist went missing and people assumed the government ordered the journalist execution
Because they should have the least amount of work to be done of them
I am all for rehabilitation, but I am for a mix type.
@TraderPropShop The issue is reoffense.
Without rehab reoffense isa thing
yeah that's my thinking
@Zuihou he went missing inside the saudi embassy in turkey
you're just saying crime gets you somewhere
obviously probably not murder but definitely petty crime
ofc we need rehabilitation but that is not saying that prison should not be pounishment. Not everyone can be fixxed. I think it is cruel to lock up people that have been done for petty crimes with hardened criminals. One should be punished the other should be helped.
@Blackhawk342 is it proven or this is conspiracy theory time
72%.
how about non violent?
That SA killed the journalist
They spend time in prison, they must pay a price for their actions. But also give them a path to a better life through rehabilitation. Make it much more inviting to go down rehabilitation. If they keep going down the other path, they will receive more punishment.
I don't think you can have one without the other.
cuz im sorry you're not going to convince the public to prefer rehabilitation for violent criminals
We honestly should charge the prison any time they get a reoffender.
@Zuihou Thats where the world is stuck currently, the american government says he went into the embassy and never came out, the saudis say he left shortly after arriving
@ArdBoy that's a good idea
Watch them go full rehab REAL fast
Wow, left pushing a conspiracy theory
<:springTea:427818533431410691>
i mean even if they didn't, there would be a profit incentive in our private prison system
Logic is; if a prisoner reoffends, it means the prison did not do the job it contractually agreed to do.
Breach of contract=Give the US Gov the moneys back
Currently, since job history is so important to job seeking, imprisonment is a double whammy against people who have served time.
Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say?
im not sure I saw what you said
oh ok
