you know, the one of the reasons i don't think this thing is as big a deal as some people seem to think is because when ever i say that i don't think it's a big deal I always get the same responce trying to say how big a deal it is.

2020-03-18 10:12:33 UTC

well at least they don't gotta cheat sanders out of the nom this time.

2020-03-18 10:14:00 UTC

oh who was it that said that, said something like "the only reason sanders did so well against Hillery is because he was the only one dumb enough to run against her" or something like that.

2020-03-18 10:15:20 UTC

I don't care either way, the dems could have put anyone of the people running this time and Trump would have crushed them.

@ARockRaider The Authoritarian is chimping out at you?

2020-03-18 11:52:11 UTC

rofl not a big deal... nations around the world are shutting down, medical systems overwhelmed, but it's not a big deal. Why don't you do us all a favor and fly to Wuhan to tell the world how NOT a big deal this is?

The Spanish Flu brought the world to its knees with 1-2% fatality rate and this schmuck is telling us 3-8% is no big deal.

The world's supply chain is smashed due to China being 80-90% producer of the world's goods.

The world's pharam supply chain is held hostage due to China producing 90% and India 10% of the critical reagents to make drugs. Things as basic as antibiotics. They've shipped 0 out since the shit hit the fan and China has threatened the US on purposefully withholding drugs so that and I quote, "drown in the sea of coronavirus".

The central banks around the world are going full throttle on QE/reserve requirement easing so we don't smash head 1st into a monetary crisis.

No big deal, yea okay. GTFO Chicom

Selfish and greedy corporations around the world are shutting down their offices/businesses, losing billions. Nations shutting down their economy, esp the tourism sector, losing billions. All working together so that some internet troll can win an argument.

Absolute 10/10 big brains right there.

2020-03-18 12:24:10 UTC

Must... fear monger...

2020-03-18 12:27:31 UTC

Haven't we known this for several months now?

2020-03-18 12:50:07 UTC

I saw a bunch of Brits on the Twitter talking about how they got "a nasty flu" that had the symptoms of covid... back in December

2020-03-18 12:52:34 UTC

And my uncle and I had a similar experience, he had trouble breathing. I was coughing up thick nasty crap and then had a dry cough for weeks before and after I went to see him.

2020-03-18 12:54:43 UTC

I wonder if that was actually it or not

2020-03-18 13:08:13 UTC

covid19 =/= flu. This stupid trope really needs to die.

A traditional/seasonal flu does not shut down nations

The traditional/seasonal flu does not have case complication rates even close to covid19. At the worse seasonal flu complication rates requiring ICU tops off at 2%. We're looking at 6% critical and another 12-14% requiring some form of hospitalization.

The pneumonia and lung dmg that comes w/covid19 is very distinct from the seasonal flu. If you were able to breath like you weren't sucking from a straw and having chest pains, the chances are higher that you had a regular flu. The best way to confirm this is flu test + xray to see if there's aveoli damage/pneumonia

2020-03-18 13:08:55 UTC

Ok not what I was getting at but you do you

2020-03-18 13:11:46 UTC

My uncle said "it was nothing like I've ever had before" and it laid him out close to a month. You're talking about the severe cases. Possible to have gotten the mild strain. And we can't test for a disease we got over two months ago

2020-03-18 13:12:28 UTC

And I didn't say I was sure it was, but was wondering maybe if it was.

2020-03-18 13:15:18 UTC

Considering China had it as far back as late Oct, that is a possibility if he's around traveling a lot or ppl who travel. In terms of testing for a disease 2 months ago, antibody markers can be an option if proof is necessary. Though with China basically holding the world hostage w/pharmaceutical reagents and everyone only running on what supplies we have right now. Those supplies are better used for testing current cases or making drugs now. As far as I'm concerned, the West is on their own and everybody needs to get their shit together and build our own manufacturing.

2020-03-18 13:18:07 UTC

Yeah I'm not going to waste precious time or resources having someone test me for a disease I might have had. And yes manufacturing needs to be done at home and maybe in friendly nations like Canada and the UK, instead of commie China

2020-03-18 13:18:43 UTC

When the world gets out of this shit storm 2 yrs from now, we need to declare global economic war/sanctions on China.

2020-03-18 13:19:23 UTC

Hopefully it won't become a hot war

2020-03-18 13:19:47 UTC

Hopefully, but China has been pushing towards that direction for years

2020-03-18 13:19:54 UTC

We won't be the ones firing the 1st shot

2020-03-18 13:43:52 UTC

Well part of the point is that the reason why everything is shutting down has more to do with the panic rather than the disease, as most people as these businesses for example don't have the disease. It's a real problem that has been amplified to be substantially worse by the human response

2020-03-18 13:44:39 UTC

The worst problem with an overreaction and hype is if it really does occur when there is a real crisis, and people really have a reason to panic, as it will amplify it considerably. If people can freak out as much as they did about literally nothing, it will be far worse than if there really is a real problem to deal with

2020-03-18 13:50:21 UTC

No, I pray it gets hot.

2020-03-18 13:51:15 UTC

Upgrade missile defense, then just drop nukes all over China and pray only retarded cities like San Francisco and Birmingam get flattened by the bat-eaters.
