They make arguments that nobody else makes or is defending to attack and break something down.

the arguments he made in regards to the practicality of the hyperloop are all fairly good arguments

@BFG to respond you the claim you stole from thunderfoot. His assumption is basically a small hole will immediately turn into such a large hole that its like you opened up the entire end of the tube itself. Basically imagine a fire hydrate leaking water from a seal vs a fully opened fire hydrant. You won't get knocked over at a leak from the hydrant but a fully opened one will knock your ass down.The assumption of instant collapse assumes that such a small hole causes enough structural damage so that the structure can't withstand the 1 atm of pressure currently around it. If i can, however, with this small hole, then the amount of stress the structure is taking is constantly going down as air floods the system. At the same time, the sleds themselves are now slowing down as air pressure is mounting. and that assumes that a loss of vacuum doesn't start an emergency stop
