not relative to people
we're not comparing it to people
or to energy you could get out of it by dropping it on the earth
we're comparing it to modern nuclear blasts
so i guessed a bit low
If they're gonna drop a rock on the earth they're not gonna do it from the fucking moon tho
Since the moon still has gravity
but 11km dia. for the impactor isn't huge
at the lowest
80km isn't outrageous either
More efficient to just grab an asteroid and send it right into the earth without it getting pulled into the moon's gravity.
but you'd probably spend more effort doing that than just dropping a nuke
even dropping one from space
it doesn't need to be all the way from the moon (or even the lagrange point)
What was that quote about calling out jews and watching them spit and squirm? Whenever I try to look it up I just get news articles talking about anti-semitism
unless you just drop something really fucking big
or you go into ***high*** orbit
and get a really high arc on an object, then drop
that was the idea behind things like scvhwerer gustav
even then, moving enough mass around to rival nuclear weapons takes way more fuel than just delivering a nuke
yup
You need to invest that energy first
