Our senses is the only way we can approximate objective reality ronald

2018-11-08 06:02:41 UTC

it is always based on that

2018-11-08 06:02:53 UTC

@tritrium it is objective if it doesn't contradict

2018-11-08 06:03:05 UTC

again

2018-11-08 06:03:09 UTC

only approximation

2018-11-08 06:03:40 UTC

Why don’t you two move this to debate

2018-11-08 06:03:43 UTC

Objective reality would have to be based on what it is. Not what you preceive it to be at any point in time.

2018-11-08 06:04:11 UTC

@Malt_Hitman yes the senses perceive if not feelings

if we are both in the same room and i think its too hot and you think its cold what is reality

2018-11-08 06:04:37 UTC

Before you can have reality, you have to exist. Can you proove you exist, can any of us?

2018-11-08 06:04:37 UTC

Reality would be the temperature in the room.

2018-11-08 06:04:43 UTC

@Ronald McFunkytown✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ that of course it more complicated because that's motivated by feelings

2018-11-08 06:05:08 UTC

Reality would the room tempature yes

2018-11-08 06:05:27 UTC

Those are both your perceptions on the temperature in the room. The room's temperature is objective.

2018-11-08 06:05:55 UTC

@Antireal perceptions motivated by feelings to form a concept

2018-11-08 06:06:55 UTC

And this disproves reason how?

2018-11-08 06:07:25 UTC

Recent discoveries done with the universe have destroyed objective realities once believed.
In fact a lot of them completely turned everything on its head.
But at the time that was logically consistent and objectively measured.
Yet it was wrong.

2018-11-08 06:07:45 UTC

and thats the forefront of science and thinkers

2018-11-08 06:08:14 UTC

What recent discoveries are you referring to?

2018-11-08 06:08:18 UTC

@tritrium sure but we advanced so did our technology and understanding

2018-11-08 06:08:30 UTC

Its not like the reality changed

2018-11-08 06:08:34 UTC

No

2018-11-08 06:08:41 UTC

But our approximation to it has

2018-11-08 06:09:09 UTC

Yes it was disproven but we used reason to get closer

2018-11-08 06:09:18 UTC

Who made the tools?

2018-11-08 06:09:26 UTC

higgs, dark matter, red shift, etc malt

2018-11-08 06:09:27 UTC

How'd we make them?

our idea of whats true is true until it isnt

2018-11-08 06:09:41 UTC

Im not arguing about reason booled

2018-11-08 06:09:50 UTC
2018-11-08 06:10:22 UTC

Im arguing that we can only approximate objective reality

2018-11-08 06:10:37 UTC

To some extent yes I guess

2018-11-08 06:11:04 UTC

We cant know reality to a certain degree without time

2018-11-08 06:11:14 UTC

objective reality itself doesnt change, our ability to approximate it does however.

2018-11-08 06:11:59 UTC

and i think thats probably the best we can do as far as i can think

2018-11-08 06:12:01 UTC

But the premise doesn't change for reason or objective reality so that's all that matters really I concede

2018-11-08 06:12:42 UTC

We can still know reality through reason I might add

2018-11-08 06:12:58 UTC

in a more general sense yea, otherwise we wouldnt be able to function

2018-11-08 06:13:08 UTC

you assume the ground underneath you will hold your next step etc

2018-11-08 06:13:14 UTC

but in a more abstract sense no
