yes

2018-11-23 14:44:08 UTC

Allowing people to own minor shares in a company doesnt mean it's a hybrid

2018-11-23 14:44:13 UTC

Then I guess America is not capitalist

2018-11-23 14:44:20 UTC

Heavily monitored

2018-11-23 14:44:20 UTC

2018-11-23 14:44:43 UTC

Be warned

2018-11-23 14:44:44 UTC

Maybe not by itself, but there are many other aspects that I think would muddle the distinctions.

2018-11-23 14:44:52 UTC

what china says its system is can be lied about

2018-11-23 14:44:55 UTC

I think those are non-voting shares.

2018-11-23 14:45:08 UTC

And what our news feeds have on this is also possibly skewed

2018-11-23 14:45:17 UTC

We may disagree but he actually gets it

2018-11-23 14:45:29 UTC

2018-11-23 14:45:43 UTC

2018-11-23 14:45:56 UTC

2018-11-23 14:46:15 UTC

cap·i·tal·ism
an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.

2018-11-23 14:46:16 UTC

But just because the government has companies it controls does not in itself preclude a capitalist system, I think. Sure, there is an unfair advantage, but I think it's hard to find a system that has absolutely pure markets.

2018-11-23 14:46:17 UTC

Cause I define s capitalist economy

2018-11-23 14:46:21 UTC

Economic reforms introducing market principles began in 1978 and were carried out in two stages. The first stage, in the late 1970s and early 1980s, involved the decollectivization of agriculture, the opening up of the country to foreign investment, and permission for entrepreneurs to start businesses.

2018-11-23 14:46:25 UTC

This is what china did

2018-11-23 14:46:29 UTC

>doesnt know one of his own country's major corporations
>wants to discuss markets
holy fuck

2018-11-23 14:46:32 UTC

My money wont be going to shit

2018-11-23 14:46:42 UTC

2018-11-23 14:46:59 UTC

The US government does not own Monsanto

2018-11-23 14:47:07 UTC

Okay, so what would Europe be? For example, in many modern social democracies, the government has public health insurance, but you can still choose private alternatives as a consumer.

Capitalist or not?

2018-11-23 14:47:10 UTC

You guys been on the same conversation for hours upon hours now.
