Whatever happens, happens.

2018-11-25 00:38:41 UTC

But it's not a panacea

2018-11-25 00:38:42 UTC

They thought it was the right decision because people encouraged them and told them that it is...

2018-11-25 00:38:46 UTC

If she cant answer where she wants to be in 10 years and what her goals are

2018-11-25 00:38:49 UTC

she shouldnt do this

2018-11-25 00:39:04 UTC

Then they are left high and dry when they become depressed....

2018-11-25 00:39:21 UTC

So, wait, are you saying that sugar doesn't cure cancer?

2018-11-25 00:39:22 UTC

That then usually ends up in suicide.

2018-11-25 00:39:34 UTC

I think she thinks it will help her accept herself

2018-11-25 00:39:44 UTC

I don't think she accepts herself

2018-11-25 00:39:47 UTC

Paradox, I interpreted your quip as an encouragement for a depressed person to suicide

2018-11-25 00:39:54 UTC

You have 2 kinds of support,

The support that is honest (you) which will warn people about stupid things to protect them from it
And the support that tells them what they wanna hear, even if it means guiding them into total destruction

2018-11-25 00:39:55 UTC

The thing is, it seems like your friend is very unsatisfied with their life and is making a lot of changes to search for something that will fix that unsatisfied feeling. I am afraid that doing something so permanent will only cause your friend to go farther into an emotional spiral, because it won't be what they are looking for.

2018-11-25 00:39:57 UTC

The whole thing is fucked

2018-11-25 00:40:13 UTC

Is there something wrong with encouraging a mentally unstable person from self harming themselves?

2018-11-25 00:40:24 UTC

How much does a doctor cost in the US?

2018-11-25 00:40:26 UTC

one visit

2018-11-25 00:40:27 UTC

its wrong to encourage anyone to harm themselves

2018-11-25 00:40:29 UTC

a regular doctor

2018-11-25 00:40:30 UTC

you mean discouraging?

2018-11-25 00:40:33 UTC

I mean isn't that what we are saying is okay, with this whole trans thing too?

2018-11-25 00:40:35 UTC

even the stable ones

2018-11-25 00:40:44 UTC

If they can lop off their dick, they can kill themselves. Let them choose.

2018-11-25 00:40:46 UTC

You never think about the reproconcusions till it is too late.

2018-11-25 00:40:56 UTC

And be supportive...

2018-11-25 00:41:08 UTC

Maybe they wanna kill you too, member, be supportive.

2018-11-25 00:41:37 UTC

Oh, they wanna shoot up that concert, be supportive.

2018-11-25 00:42:03 UTC

All I will say is that there can be sunshine after surgery. But it won't fix a broken life.

2018-11-25 00:42:17 UTC

How about you dont take a decision that will physically change you for life with no reverse or escape, when you are 22, depressed and got no idea nor plan for the future

2018-11-25 00:42:48 UTC

You are one of those Stable people 10th.

2018-11-25 00:42:49 UTC

Hey, instead let's push it on them when they are 7

2018-11-25 00:43:04 UTC

There are many people who have regrets going through surgery, end up taking their own lives.

2018-11-25 00:43:04 UTC

too old? 5?

2018-11-25 00:43:12 UTC

It is a big decision.

2018-11-25 00:43:15 UTC

It depends on the source of the depression, Paradox

2018-11-25 00:43:16 UTC

thats not the point here paradox

2018-11-25 00:43:26 UTC

big is an understatement, Mark lol

2018-11-25 00:43:35 UTC

I basically try to tell people. LET THEM make that decision and don't pressure them to choose any path.

2018-11-25 00:43:35 UTC

Maybe I should talk to her again

2018-11-25 00:43:36 UTC

Idk
