I remember watching Syrian Army units using MG42's and MP40's, a big reason isn't only the funding, but Syria was part of Vichy France, which was an Axis power funded by Germany, so they shipped tons of supplies over there that never got used.
@Issa Dornan gotta agree, America first, state second. But my opinion is skewed because due to the military life style I never lived in a state for longer then a year or two. Where as these southern folk don’t like change
