I have decided to shut down my patreon. At years end.
In all honesty, I don't care about the tiers. Just donate and move on. :\
Yup. I just started Patreon but already decided to stop using it.
I killed mine
I'll probably be tier 4 here through the end of the month
and then it will drop
Hehe. When I cut cable, I decided to budget 75% to content creators . There are so many content creators I want to donate to. Iām in need to send kids to college mode.
In general, I wonder if my donations should go to content creators with lower subscriber numbers.
Even if I enjoy a channel with millions of subscribers, does my small donation make as much impact as the smaller channels?
and the reason amazon is so heavily pro migrants https://techcrunch.com/2018/12/15/workers-protest-outside-minnesota-amazon-warehouse/
when has a company not had alternative motives for political standpoints?

The border is good show, but even Mr Trump doesn't want to stop eating from the trough of cheap migrant labor, nor does he want to deny that flow to those who support him.
I hate hypocrisy. As a demand sider I say we kill the demand and the supply will wither.
But I don't expect Mr Trump to be looking in the mirror anytime soon.
If DC had to face the monsters that they really were, there would be no one in federal politics
` immigration hurts American workers ` ... wasn't that "illegal immigration" that he's on about, not legal immigration?
If he's said legal immigration is a problem, I'm going to need a source on that.
He uses the argument of wage depression in his speeches
Both are to a degree, but illegal hurts more.
And in any case, I was referring to Misomania's post pointing fingers at Amazon
Where I am the guys next door are Mexican nationals who are here on work visas in the oil industry and they send half their pay check home while sharing an apartment.
They are willing to work cheaper because their expenses are less and they are taking money out of the economy by sending it to Mexico.
What I've been seeing is a desire to decrease legal immigration even as Trump and red state farmers want migrant labor for their bottom line...and honestly for our low food prices insofar as the farmers
So there are arguments for limiting legal immigration and work visa programs
I want to put a stop to illegal immigration but i believe we should be significantly increasing legal immigration to make up for that.
There are also counter arguments to be made for sure.
But what i see from the Repubs is they want to kill all immigration except for programs targeted specifically at their core supporters
When I'd like to see immigration of doctors, engineers, programmers, etc.
But I'm less concerned with what I'd like and more concerned about hypocrisy
We already have companies firing American tech employees and bringing in replacements from over seas, so pardon me if I don't think that's a wise direction.
@whitecane agree
we dont need these foreign agents
If they graduate from our universities, why not?
fuck them
There are arguments that in order for the US to stay the top, we need to "Head hunt" and poach the best from every labor market in order to ensure they work in benefiting the US economy not foreign ones.
