@moira read this

2020-02-03 19:12:42 UTC

it combats the argument 'but who created god?'

2020-02-03 19:13:51 UTC

Ill read that

2020-02-03 19:14:21 UTC

it's a stupid argument

2020-02-03 19:14:44 UTC

God isn't limited by the onthological argument in the way the material universe is

2020-02-03 19:14:46 UTC

why would He be

2020-02-03 19:15:01 UTC

the entire point of the argument is that an external being was the first cause

2020-02-03 19:15:09 UTC

i don't know how this flies over people's heads

2020-02-03 19:17:55 UTC

quick question: why does God not do any miracles anymore, or anyone else for that matter? why'd miracles die out as we got more informed, better in the ways of science and document things more?

2020-02-03 19:18:09 UTC

God does miracles all the time

2020-02-03 19:18:29 UTC

Christians don't deny the miracle-doing of God

2020-02-03 19:18:46 UTC

at least the members of the Church

2020-02-03 19:20:17 UTC

swss

2020-02-03 19:21:30 UTC

what does that mean?

2020-02-03 19:22:20 UTC

ok, so explain why back in Jesus Days, mircales were turningk, what was it, 5 bread and 2 fish into enough food to feed essentially a small army, but nowadays it's just passing a test you likely studied for anyways.

2020-02-03 19:24:36 UTC

Jesus was the literal manifestation of the Son on Earth, and He came here to establish the new testament. Of course He is going to perform amazing miracles. Miracles of this kind still happen from time to time, like Medjugorje, but they're definitely more rare.

2020-02-03 19:25:44 UTC

so why has god not sent down someone else to cleanse us, once again, of our sins, if he could do it back then

2020-02-03 19:26:14 UTC

is that of me to ask? ask Him

2020-02-03 19:26:20 UTC

John 20:29

2020-02-03 19:26:21 UTC

2020-02-03 19:27:15 UTC

well if Jesus has cleansed ALL our sins, why do you still put so much effort into converting people? God loves *all* of us, regardless of our faith, so why do I have to 'accept him as my savior and ask forgiveness' ? Shouldn't I be cleansed of my sins nonetheless?

2020-02-03 19:27:19 UTC

a hardened heart runs in the face of truth. have you read the Gospel?

2020-02-03 19:27:40 UTC

you're now arguing something that i don't think you have an understanding of

2020-02-03 19:28:04 UTC

i could explain it to you but i think @Eoppa would do a better job so i'll kindly ask him to

2020-02-03 19:28:32 UTC

well he can

2020-02-03 19:29:48 UTC

@Eoppa can u explain it to me.

2020-02-03 19:30:03 UTC

since you understand better

2020-02-03 19:54:51 UTC

What am I explaining?

2020-02-03 19:54:56 UTC

Miracles?

2020-02-03 19:55:58 UTC

@Eoppa miracles and not accepting christ as your savior

2020-02-03 19:56:40 UTC

We have miracles now as well

2020-02-03 19:56:44 UTC

not that

2020-02-03 19:56:53 UTC

why we still need to repent and do good works to be saved

2020-02-03 19:56:57 UTC

if jesus died for our sins

2020-02-03 19:57:17 UTC

accepting Jesus as your savior and ask forgiveness i think

2020-02-03 19:57:26 UTC

God offers us salvation out of his love, we need to mutually accept it

2020-02-03 20:08:05 UTC

huh

2020-02-03 20:08:51 UTC

You can seperate yourself from God, God shall never cast you out

2020-02-03 20:08:55 UTC

It is your decision

2020-02-03 20:12:13 UTC

well, if I seperate myself from him, why doesn't he try to get me back? After all ,he loves all of us, why owuldn't he want me to believe in him and repent? And, if he loves us all, why doesn't he wipe away our sins without us believing in him?
