So suddenly, Trump demands that a wall needs to be a part of the budget, which he didn’t do the first two years with the same intensity as he is now

He’s always wNted it but now it’s much more serious and constant messaging about it from him. Example: the recent speech he gave on cable

Democrats are being vilified as anti-border security. That is untrue, unhelpful, and distracting from the strange 180 republican leaders have done on the border wall demand.

I just think you gotta think about why during 2 years of all republican everything, Trump never appeared on TV demanding a wall, and republican leaders weren’t interested. Now, suddenly they can’t initiate the budget process and it’s a requirement? It’s a hostage situation. The government, and all those workers (800,000 I think?) are being unpaid because of a republican demand they could have gotten done earlier. The goal is not to get the wall, the goal is to know that they can shut down the government every time they want something. Fuck that.
