the entire point of that is for them to propose a budget and then everyone agrees/disagrees with it

Well, it’s a bit more complicated than that because of Trump

Because Republicans don’t necessarily want to lose their support back home right? And their supporters like Trump so they need to do what Trump wants right

So suddenly, Trump demands that a wall needs to be a part of the budget, which he didn’t do the first two years with the same intensity as he is now

He’s always wNted it but now it’s much more serious and constant messaging about it from him. Example: the recent speech he gave on cable

So setting aside why he suddenly needs it, it’s clear that he switched something where now it’s “necessary,” and now his supporters see that, so the senate thinks that too know

? Democrats are almost universally on the record demanding improved technology at the border. Drones, cameras, support for border patrol are all espoused by democrats
