They are far, but they've provided me support. Her mother loves me and has helped when she could, but has been taken from the middle (I presume at the behest or control of the stbxw). Her mother actually was a person I got council from, as someone also hurt by infidelity in her own marriage, and she bailed me out of jail when the incident occurred.

They can, but the retainers are in the 3k range, and I'm still sorting out rent/utilities and prepping for child support myself. I still don't have a car, and am not expecting much in taxes.

@Night Terror if you have a supervisor you trust with details, check to see if anything can be recorded with your work. Maybe check in with HR.

In GA, if one party consents to a recording (you in this instance) then it can count as evidence. That doesn't save you from getting in trouble at work for breaking their rules, though

If it's cool to record with work, get her to say stuff to use against her. Be like, "didn't you come here last week? Didn't you ask the same stuff? I know I told you I didn't want you coming around here!"

So i was rereading the "list" and a lot of it is valuable but some of it seems a bit extreme and not something i want to get into personally. of course, they say tailor it to your needs. but i'm interested in anyone's else take on the "list" which also was started in 2005 - so are a lot of the "rules" still relevant today?

@Dan da Dad hey i had a question regarding recordings because i plan on using some recorded convos with my stbx - i live in a one party consent state. can her attorney ask for all of the recordings or will i be able to offer only recordings that i deem applicable as evidence?

During Discovery, all applicable recordings will be disclosed. If they ask for others, you must be truthful. If you fail to disclose, it may bit be admissible later (except as rebuttal). Take care to catalog them well

@Dan da Dad i have a ip camera that is continuously recording and its got endless recordings, too much to go thru. i have some important days that are applicable but i have a ton of extra footage which i cant remember if there was anything but i haven't done anything wrong to the stbx but there might be footage of us smoking weed which i'd rather not share lol. still illegal in my state
