also the higher tax rate kept the war profiteers from making too much of a profit

Yes 54% of your tax money is spent on war. 23-25% is goverment as second biggest spending.
have u noticed a strange pattern..every time gop got pres, a war seemed to break out somewhere where we'd had to get involved...and the tax cuts turned into tax increases
but when a dem pres got into power, the interest rates dropped but the taxes stayed up nice and high
but few extra little wars happened......mostly skirmishes compared when gop was pres
with the exception of ww1/2
if u really look at history of the usa gov...in civics ...congress/sentate or even pres can declare war, but congress has to auth the funding for it

sentate can suggest amount also..but still has to go thru congress...then
pres can approve or veto...but if he ignores it for 2 weeks...it's automatically approved
