FRANKFURT - The European Central Bank (ECB) is considering ways in which the current policy of cheap money can be terminated. Policymakers are already discussing various proposals to make the transition as painless as possible, reports Reuters news agency on the basis of insiders.


The ECB has been keeping interest rates at historically low levels for some time. These low rates were meant to stimulate the economy after the crisis. Since the ECB announced that it will terminate the bond buying program, investors are wondering when interest rates will be increased once again. At the same time there is a fear that banks will be less willing to lend money if money becomes more expensive.

In order to ensure a smooth landing, policy makers would have proposed, among other things, that initially only the deposit rate should be increased. The talks are reportedly still at an early stage and are therefore unlikely to be discussed during the ECB Directors' meeting next week.

Well we can only speculate about that at this moment in time. Two rumors i heard that could be close to the true. Is that they going to use silver in the same way as they did with gold back in the year 1913. And the other rumor, that i think feels like it is made up.
