Drafting as in mechanical?
I think that’s largely male still but a lot of females since it is more design orientated.
ummm either
mechanical or technical
Oh yeah product design is usually male/female but tooling drafting is all men.
hmmmmm

Women want the recognition of working on the product itself.
Possibly! I am not sure.
nothing is new under the sun
women wanting credit
Yeah, I just give it to them. What do I care. My boss see my commits and work done. I have nothing to prove.

Locus of control is limited. My fucks to give are limited. My power is within.
I like that mantra
Do you guys think I should move to CA to chase $150-250k engineering gigs or simply work for a big company in a cheaper area with less political mess?
150 to 250k 😮
fuck that's a lot of money
I should've done engineering but my parents talked me out of it
Well that’s for senior engineers but the cost of living will be 30k for rent and 5-10k for lifestyle plus 20-30k taxes.
Why did you get talked out of it?
You’re young still you can always go back and do whatever you want to do. Especially if you have no wife and kids to drain resources.
I am 27 but
I think teaching with computer sciences or a trade skill would be handy

STEM is the future
