Crispin Tickell was climate advisor to Thatcher and begins his this paper:
https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-1-349-12206-6_4 ```Francis Galton was a friend and ally of my great great grandfather, and was one of that heroic group which took on – and then transformed – the intellectual establishment of his day.```
And if somone really wants to have some fun, look into Julian Huxley, founder of UNESCO and brother of Aldous Huxley. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4366572/
https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000068197
``` At the moment, it is probable that the indirect effect of civilisation is dysgenic instead of eugenic ; and in any case it seems likely that the dead weight of genetic stupidity, physical weakness, mental instability, and disease-proneness, which already exist in the human species, will prove too great a burden for real progress to be achieved. Thus even though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for Unesco to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care, and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake so that much that now is unthinkable may at least become thinkable.```
Then take a look at the eugenicist undertones of works by psychologists such as Abraham Maslow. He writes this in his book *Motivation and Personality*: ```The study of crippled, stunted, immature, and unhealthy specimens can yield only a cripple psychology and a cripple philosophy. The study of self-actualizing people must be the basis for a more universal science of psychology```
The homelessness rate tends to be higher in left-wing Democrat states rather than Republican states
In fairness to the homeless study, I wouldn’t count many of the houses in Mississippi as shelter in a survival situation
`In the outbreak’s wake, the global health community scrambled to deliver initiatives for increased health security. One flagship programme was the World Bank’s Pandemic Emergency Financing Facility (PEF). Under the scheme, investors who buy pandemic bonds receive generous ‘coupons’, which annually pay about 13% interest. This compensates investors for the risk that the bonds will make ‘insurance’ payouts to fight pandemics under certain conditions. Otherwise, cash returns to the investors when the bonds mature in July 2020.`
>resources drained from the congo
*Well I never!*
A 13% fucking bond yield, fuck me only Africa. Most of the world is paying out well below inflation bond yields.
This particular fund isn't just for Africa though. If a payment is made from it due to the WHO declaring a pandemic, then the investors don't get their return.
True the yield is the problem here. The article doesn't specify the legnth of the bond. Assuming a full 13% yield then the bond would repay the investor in 7.7 Years(100/13) since the payment of the bond. Its that's a 10 year bond, then an error has been made, but if its any longer then your just making out like fucking bandits.
If the effective yield from the bond is 10% over a 20 year bond for example, you double your initial investment. JUST.
So, Dr. James Lindsay (co author of “How to Have Impossible Conversations”)is creating a new encyclopedia detailing “grievance studies.” I think this could be used as a great resource. The site goes live tomorrow. https://newdiscourses.com
Dont tell me what to do with my frozen potatos https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/g5xw4w/sorry-sticking-a-potato-up-your-butt-wont-cure-your-hemorrhoids?utm_source=vicetwitterus
How big a potato we talking
And why do people do things like this with food
Because people see food lihe this as inherently disposable
I mean I wouldn't say putting any sized potato up your butt is a good idea, call me crazy
If by "cure" you mean "rupture" then definitely put a potato up your ass to cure haemorrhoids.
i mean hemorrhoids are swolen veins, so bursting them technically makes it not a hemorrhoid anymore
arguably something worse, but its not hemorrhoids anymore
it could get infected but sure
Dont tell me how to solve my problems <a:REEE:586628142391885843>
I think that article is targetted at gavin
Something tells me a bloody infected potato anus isn’t the most convenient
maybe its the potato in your anus
