Easily the most frightening thing about the present political climate is that people throw out words like fascist, nazi, communist, socialist, etc. with zero understanding of what those words actually mean. This cheapens those words and makes their definitions so ambiguous it becomes difficult to identify individuals who actually hold those beliefs. So, when you label actual people who hold those actual beliefs as those things it has little to no impact because it can be written off as "you just call everyone who disagrees with you that."
