once you have bipedal robots able to perform pretty much any teachable task... farm, harvest, deliver/drive... build housing... then you got a scarcity free society
when the robots can take care of themselves, fix each other...
and when on finance for the price of a new car, you can buy an android that does all the cleaning and cooking... that'll be pretty sweet
centuries away from post-scarcity society
I dunno bout that... these things tend to escalate quickly
I always said... 1900-1950 was the production line age.. which by 1950 was pretty much sorted...
then 1950-2000 was the digital age
and 2000-2050 will be the robot age
and my best guess would be 2050-2100 being a space age
so think where we were in 1970 with the digital age... and where we got to in 2000
right now we got robots doing flippin parkour 😛
I think we could reach a post scarcity society within 100 years
Especially with the growth of AI
I wonder if the Lords will try and block the bill
I wasn't aware they could
Developing more efficient methods of resource extraction does not eliminate the scarcity of those resources
But AI will definitely make things a lot easier
hot
it's only a jack if it's on a ship
however
the EU is a sinking ship, so that's fine <:smugon:512048583806025739>
apparently nobody has flags on their desks, just the brexit meps seem to have done
loads of people under that tweet likening him to a nazi and/or calling him a fascist
I bet the polish had flags... in fact Im sure a lot of them had flags
someone posted a photo with none visible, who knows
Gah, i just watched a "urban exploration" of an abandoned falling down house and saw two Vic 20's in it, and yellled "but I WANT THOSE!"
It's become a "date the last occupancy of this place from the video evidence" game
If you want to play along:

i wonder if any of these people take stuff
could just bring more flags
make an entire new MEP out of flags
childishly put swastika ones on the president desk
I don't think Jess understands socialism
What am I looking at, Autumn?
I am trying to work that out 🤔
Apparently it's to make referendums require 55% of the population and a 60% vote share to pass
Seems pointless
ah yes, the "let's not have something like brexit again" bill
fucking laughing stock
forget the commons, these guys need a check
