Ramadan seems like a negative religious holiday, encouraging gluttony and deceit.
Lent seems like it has a point at least.
I'm actually gonna redo the 8-axis test, haven't updated that one in a while
Ramadan bombathon?
Trucks of peace
I didn't save my compass test, or I lost it but I'm about 5 ticks towards libertarian and just a tad right of center.
Hmmmm
I also take issue with the image of a scale being used for "equality". The imagery suggests something like equality under the law. However, equality under the law breeds economic inequality.
what? how?
Maybe
Or are you asking how equality under the law breeds economic inequality?
Should be called "Equity".
@Thomas the Sowell Train [USA]
Yeah, how does it breed economic inequality?
I mean, the ideal would be everyone being the same under the rule of law
Wait are you serious? You think it's ideal for everyone to have the same level of wealth?
Or are you just saying that everyone should be treated equally by the law?
Certainly, it's true that the people should have equality under the law, blind justice and so forth.
But let me ask this question: How is wealth created?
The answer to this question is you create the conditions which allow for the people who know how to create wealth to go ahead and do so.
I'm fairly certain those words were picked to cause what your doing mate
like, each side is value laden to signal to those upon it
That's fine EmptyE just allow me to make my case.
So then they create that wealth, by their own labor and management of assets as well as the labor of others.
sorry
So when you allow people to create their own wealth, they have to be able to keep what they create via their own labor as well as through freedoms of association and conctractual associations.
To set and negotiate their own prices for their labor and their products.
So people who are better at creating more wealth, which exists naturally, will be able to create more wealth if they are not restricted by inequalities under the law.
More than other free individals who do not as effectively fulfill an array of variables used to create wealth.
Perhaps they did not negotiate as well for the price of their product.
Perhaps they did not acquire comparable goods with which to manufacture resulting in an inferior product regardless of quality of labor.
Is this beginning to sound like a defensible position?
