"award winning journalism"

2018-08-14 08:03:03 UTC

that's not inaccurate

2018-08-14 08:03:20 UTC

Hitler was awarded many military honours

2018-08-14 08:03:27 UTC

that doesn't mean he was a good dude

2018-08-14 08:07:31 UTC

ya don't say...

2018-08-14 08:08:22 UTC

my point is that LA Times winning awards doesn't mean they're a quality source of news

2018-08-14 08:09:14 UTC

thats why im putting it in qoutes

2018-08-14 08:46:40 UTC

im surprised that 'because sargon is that dude' for the sargon reddit hasn't inspired any big lebowski memes

2018-08-14 08:46:43 UTC

redditors are boring

2018-08-14 08:46:49 UTC

but go figure, it's reddit man

2018-08-14 13:20:29 UTC

Anyone interested in seriously analysing/proving/debunking the validity of Qanon, message me.

2018-08-14 13:48:23 UTC

nope

2018-08-14 14:11:41 UTC

nope u

2018-08-14 14:22:12 UTC

The lower article says “largest fire in state’s history” but the Holy Fire was only 22,000 acres. Carr fire up in NorCal is over 100,000 acres largers

2018-08-14 14:53:10 UTC

Just saying, lol

2018-08-14 15:00:24 UTC

Though the fire was intentional, California is going through longer and tougher droughts which is a direct consequence of climate change.

2018-08-14 15:01:02 UTC

Such droughts make it easier for fires to propagate and become uncontrollable

2018-08-14 15:01:49 UTC

And obviously it becomes harder to put them out as water reserves in lakes are dangerously low

IF they managed the land they could stop it spreading so fast but

MUH NATURUH

2018-08-14 15:41:33 UTC

if only there were this science called land management that allowed for say the process of relocating water and storing it or worse case artificially deselenating it and putting it back into the system. But they would rather spend money virtue signaling and 40k a pop on the homeless that probably see less then 10 dollars from that 40 thousand.

Priorities my dude

2018-08-14 15:55:14 UTC

"The threat to the UK from terrorism remains severe. I would urge the public to remain vigilant - but also to come together and carry on as normal, just as they did after the sickening attacks in Manchester and London last year." 🤔

2018-08-14 15:56:25 UTC

Also: I don't think that's how heat/light works. lol

2018-08-14 15:57:35 UTC

Light just doesn't absorb off of non-black surfaces easier.

2018-08-14 15:57:42 UTC

The problem is it becomes diffused.

2018-08-14 15:57:56 UTC

It doesn't mean it just takes the energy out of the equation, it just spreads it elsewhere.

2018-08-14 15:58:09 UTC

Rather than storing that heat inside of a black surface, and then radiating.

2018-08-14 15:58:57 UTC

Shhh. They just need to fill out their spending for the year. It's a virtue signal that also allows them to hit their baseline budgeting

2018-08-14 15:59:13 UTC

This makes little sense in the terms of physics.

2018-08-14 15:59:23 UTC

It's just spreading the light elsewhere.

2018-08-14 15:59:33 UTC

Likely inside of buildings.
