but bear with me till the end
To lose weight you have to do this one simple thing - don't eat.
It's that simple
Fasting is the best way to drop weight - body fat specifically - in the shortest period of time. The only drawback is that it's very difficult.
The only reason you feel like shit when you haven't eaten is because you're losing electrolytes - sodium and potassium specifically. You can recover those by drinking salty water which will not break your fast. 1 teaspoon of potassium salt and pink himalayan salt in 1 to 2 liters of water per day is enough to make you feel good.
(It doesn't taste bad)
Anyway, go ahead with your objections

that might be a good plan if you didnt really do anthing else. if you dedicate to a sport the training will help you drop weight.
If you want something softer, the fast can consist in, instead of completely removing meals, replacing them with protein shakes, which really fill you and have a really low caloric content
