Freedom is self governance, as a basic concept. There would be nothing wrong with that were we created fit to govern.
But we were not
i actually enjoy, in a way, being surrounded by liberals.
my town: overtly liberal anywhere within a 5-mile radius of downtown(where i spend 90% of my time)
my family: conservatism is heresy
jew i live with: ultra-progressive
my job: full of millenial and genz who just repeat liberal talking points
i feel like a warrior. i debate anyone who i think won't lose their mind, and get off on it. when i can't debate peacefully, i drop subtle hints and see if people pick up on them. otherwise, i practice self-control.
because of this, i get tons of practice arguing certain ideas, and i think im better for it. ive been doing this for a while now.
Persecution is good for the spirit
It breeds strong faith
It breaks the weak though
Good.
Most of the time anyway.
I was weak, and it broke me for a short bit of time
I came back stronger though.
Still, persecution is only good for people who rise to some amount of virtue beforehand. For the confused people today, it will only cause more people to deconvert and never look back. Then again, we're living in a time of great tribulation, so maybe that's in accordance to God's justice.
We should still show 'some' mercy though, not much.
but is God conservative?
God is beyond any ideology
does serving God mean being conservative?
*as its defined in the modern world
Tough question
Modern world say yes
But we shouldn't allow ourselves to be considered conservative, but as Christians
God is true conservative. He makes the Law and never changes it
Interesting
@ninjacats I live near Chicago
So I know what it's like for most people to be ultra liberal
@pinkfloydfan123 im not all that far from Chicago myself, relatively speaking. my family is from Chicago, if that says anything, which i think it does lol
Ok here’s a weird but serious religious question
Let’s say your married
And then you die
But you lived a good life and go to heaven
But your wife remarries
And lives a good life and dies and goes to heaven
Is it you, your wife, and the third guy?
All chillin awkwardly in heaven?
Or do you not get to spend eternity with her?
Hmm
Y'all probably chillin
But in a way isn’t that a hell
No
Because being in heaven comes with some perks
There is no marriage in heaven, it's an earthly state. In heaven and perfection you are in perfect union with Christ
