2018-05-25 08:22:03 UTC

Good morning

2018-05-25 11:09:14 UTC

Even though they're somewhat right on the cold water. Especially in summer, you should drink some normal (room temperature) water in between to not stress your inner organs too much.

2018-05-25 11:33:43 UTC

Cold water loses the little taste it has and doesn't make your thirst go away any better than slightly chilled one anyway, don't see the point in drinking cold water

2018-05-25 12:02:16 UTC

Feels cool when hot outside ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2018-05-25 13:05:39 UTC

get ur body to heat up the water, burn more calories passively?

2018-05-25 13:06:36 UTC

i saw a documentary about shenzen and it showed the same thing kaeta said

2018-05-25 13:07:14 UTC

kaetaa rants are worth their own china-steel copypastas

2018-05-25 13:07:20 UTC

where the husband/wife would work in shenzen and the kids would be at some village hut with their grandparents

2018-05-25 13:51:34 UTC

That's more common than not

2018-05-25 13:51:44 UTC

But it's not always a hut haha sometimes it's a shitty small apartment

2018-05-25 13:51:52 UTC

Old people run China

2018-05-25 13:53:21 UTC

When I refer to cold water, i mean literally anything but hot

2018-05-25 13:53:28 UTC

so room temp, luke warm, cold etc.

2018-05-25 13:53:32 UTC

they think its poison

2018-05-25 13:53:58 UTC

Cold water on a hot day is great

2018-05-25 13:54:11 UTC

I miss ice. no ice in china. 😦

2018-05-25 13:54:17 UTC

i miss cold drinks and cold beer

2018-05-25 13:58:50 UTC

beer tends to be alright though

2018-05-25 13:59:07 UTC

but most cold drinks are a know

2018-05-25 13:59:28 UTC

tbh I reckon starbucks does meh in china because of that

2018-05-25 14:03:06 UTC

They actually have this massive Starbucks in Shanghai that's 2 stories big and does more in a day than the average Starbucks on America does in a week

2018-05-25 14:03:26 UTC

Most of the Starbucks are full because people love face

2018-05-25 14:03:37 UTC

And they think sitting in a Starbucks is fancy and will make them seem good

2018-05-25 14:03:55 UTC

But they hate the drinks and usually have no idea how to act, so its loud and dirty all the time

2018-05-25 14:04:07 UTC

With people 90% order the tea drinks

2018-05-25 14:04:22 UTC

They have ice coffee but I feel like I'm the only one who orders it haha

2018-05-25 14:04:45 UTC

Starbucks opens at like 10-11am in china

2018-05-25 14:04:52 UTC

No one wants to grab a drink on their way to work

2018-05-25 14:05:04 UTC

It's the kind of place you sit forever to impress someone or think your fancy

2018-05-25 14:05:37 UTC

It's interesting to see China go through what Europeans went through roughly 60-70 years ago

2018-05-25 14:05:46 UTC

Status symbols were once strong here, too

2018-05-25 14:06:19 UTC

Give it a generation or two, especially the Chinese that are being born now

2018-05-25 14:06:41 UTC

They probably won't give a shit anymore and fancy Euro brands will finally die

2018-05-25 14:07:45 UTC

I have the feeling Chinese millenials are much like our boomers

2018-05-25 14:11:55 UTC

I do wonder about the nationalism bullshit though

2018-05-25 14:15:19 UTC

Make China Great Again

2018-05-25 14:15:53 UTC

Tfw know enough chink to understand nationalist chinkies in youtube comment sections trying to justify the 1989 massacre

2018-05-25 14:16:19 UTC

saying shit like "they had no choice" "this was no doubt the right solution" "the government did right"
